1  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: "5 Minute Artisan Bread"- the best thing since sliced bread on: May 05, 2010 03:29:34 PM
This bread is WONDERFUL! I always find myself adding a little extra flour as well as extra time in the oven. One of my favorite ways to make it is with olive oil, dried garlic, and crushed rosemary rubbed in on top. Also for faster cooking and dinner rolls it is easy to make a few balls and plop them all together on the stoneware.
Any other yummy variations?

ps - this is much better than studying for exams!

i guess bananas and sunflowers remind me of SUMMER Smiley

the sunflower (it has a whole in the back so hopefully it can hang)

I made some other things in the class, but will not get them until next year because they are glazed, these are just painted, in "dry-brush"
hope you enjoy... comments welcome Smiley

7  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: (Spicy) Hummus -- What spices do you use? on: March 14, 2008 07:40:34 PM
I was never a huge fan of hummus until i tried making some; garlic, chicpeas, Tahiti(?), and the key for me is roasted red pepper and cummin. salt and pepper as well. Its amazing with veggies, pita, crackers, you name it!

9  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: kid's practice guitar decoupaged into cool decoration on: February 29, 2008 03:52:35 PM
wow! so excited to use this idea (if you don't mind of course) One day while walking in the woods I stumbled on a guitar. It was filled with sticks and leaves. It's strings were cut, it was slippery with gasoline i believe, the back was a little warped, but being a musician/non-litterbug i picked it up and carried it out of the woods and brought it home, apparently it isn't a very good guitar even before the damage... so now maybe it can be a piece of art!
