11  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: 2000 flat plastic bags on: June 11, 2008 06:24:51 AM
I've made "fabric" from the bags before, it completly changes the texture and if you decided to do jodilee suggested and use it as a tablecloth it would be so easy to clean. Just make sure if you do iron the bags, to use paper between the iron and the bag otherwise you will get a nasty mess and ruin your iron!

oh, your so lucky!!! I would cut them up into strips and knit or chrochet them into a reusable grocery bag or iron them into usable fabric. Both of those ideas con be found here on craftster. Have fun with whatever you decide to do!

I bet if you knit or crocheted it then reinforced it somehow, you could make a handbag out of them. Does that make sense? Maybe reinforce it with plastic canvas then line it. That would make it stronger.

That elephant cloth is so cute! I keep telling myself that one of these days I'm going to knit up a bunch of different cloths (images, letters, and such) and sew them into a quilt. Hopefully I'll get around to it one of these years.  Roll Eyes

That's such a good idea!

That's my plan too Smiley
