2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help me find the pattern - the headband - starts with K or a C? Aurgh I though on: February 14, 2009 01:03:59 PM
I thought I had bookmarked it - I have read the gal's blog and I've seen it on ravelry and here - it is a really neat headband thing - but it has a complex name that I'm blanking on so I can't search for it.  I was trying to find the post I saw here because I caught a discussion saying it ran big and many people had cut down the cast on stitches to I think 88?  or less - anyway it is knitted using short rows....

does this jog anyone's memory?!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Has anyone sewn or seen a pattern for nursing gowns? on: January 27, 2008 10:15:10 AM
Mainly I'm looking for something similar to these --

http://www.amazon.com/Aimee-Gowns-Bra-less-Nursing-Pajamas/dp/B000JSRPQU/ref=pd_bbs_8?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1201457511&sr=8-8

http://www.amazon.com/Japanese-Weekend-Sleeve-Nursing-Sleepwear/dp/B000NSYYG0/ref=pd_sbs_a?ie=UTF8&qid=1201457511&sr=8-8

Our hancock sells that knit fabric for like .99 cents a yard......And I'd really just need to sew the top - I have plenty of yoga bottoms already......50$ for the set is unreasonable when I know I can sew it!  LOL!
4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Does anyone have a tutorial or a pattern that could help me make a hat like on: September 28, 2006 08:35:34 PM
Mario/Luigi?

There is a gal on Ebay selling them but I'm not going to shell out the high end prices they are going for - plus I know I can make them.  I'm just short on time and don't have much experiance piecing my own patterns.  Thanks!

5  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Does anyone have any ideas for 'making' boot covers for a pirate costume? on: September 28, 2006 07:29:55 PM
Hi there,
I am fairly new here but am LOVING it.

I'm currently sewing up a gaggle of pirate costumes for the family (4 of us) and need some pointers/ideas for 'making the boots' or finding some cheap.  I've been eyeing thrift stores but haven't found anything and think I'm going to fashion something out of pleather - but I'm worried about them falling down.

Thanks for the ideas!
6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Can someone help me locate a book of line drawings? on: September 20, 2006 10:30:59 AM
I've been searching high and low for a book of line drawings - simple outlines only though.  No shading and very straightforward to use as reference in my crafting.
I'm looking for something that has animals, shapes, houses, boats, etc, etc.  A catch all if you would.  But the tricky part is trying to find just outlines - anyone ever see anything like this?
