Thankyou for your lovely comments everyone.

Very very cute - and your stitchings are very neat!

What type of fabric did you use for the outside of the purse?

The fabirc I used was from a skirt my mum was going to throw out, I've just checked the label and it says 100% cotton. It was really thick for cotton though - good job really of the mess on the back would show through  Cheesy

That is so cool, I know that there are loads of fancy gameboy type things now, but I remember being totally hooked on my gameboy colour (it was purple!) though it was the pokemon game (hehe) that I was really into, I do remember having a zelda of some sort that I never managed to finish. Grin
18  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Embroidered Toadstool Purse with Applique and Sassy Liner on: August 09, 2008 05:02:36 PM

Just a quick little project, I loved this embroidery that I did (Close up of embroidery here ->https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=262301.0) and it was calling out to be a pouch. So thats what it became, and I lined it with the applique fabric from the toadstool.
Its a really usefull size, neatly fits in my cards and money with out being bulky, and the flat base means its really roomy.

20  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / A happy play makes a happy outcome on: August 09, 2008 04:53:19 PM

I had a rough idea of this in my head and just picked up the needle and thread the other day and doddle stitched until it felt finished. The polkadot part is applique and the rest is mainly back stitch, with a bit of chain stitch and a few french knots.
I have turned it into a purse/pouch now, and I'l post a picture of that in the bag catagory.

There is a bit more info, and pictures of the pouch/purse it became on my blog (see signature)
