6981  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Little Odd Ball Yarn Swap R3: Signups Oct. 24, 2008 to Nov. 21, 2008 on: November 18, 2008 03:15:02 PM
Oh, RondaS, such a troublemaker you are!  Wink But seriously, I think I've got my notes straight. You can always send a PM to your partners once you get them. I'm going to be sorting out partners on Saturday morning, and I'll try to send them out early in the day. I'm heading to a matinee performance of 42nd St., so if I don't get it done before I leave, it'll be done before I head to bed...

And, I still haven't had a chance to wind any balls beyond the first 3! Friday night, I'll be winding like crazy. So much for getting things done in advance Wink

Excellent sets! The Star Trek ones are a riot! I seriously covet them Wink

I don't think I'll get all the way through winding yarn before we get partners anyway, since I'm trying to do the crazy write-a-novel-for-November thing, and I'm trying not to get *too* distracted.  Wink

Cool! And, you can always wind yarn as you cook up major plot twists... it's the perfect bit of mindless work so your mind can focus on other stufff Wink

Okay, I updated status and gave feedback to folks in my group. I didn't always get a send and received PM, so if you only posted in the thread, and I missed you, let me know (life has been crazy, and will be until Friday  Tongue ). I think I have it all covered, though...

Oh, man! I am jealous! That mosaic is gorgeous, and the matzoh potholders made me LOL!! I also love the tree embroidery and the fabulous pincushion.

Fantastic!!

craftADDchick, I can go any way really, but I don't want to make things difficult for you in partnering up.  You know me, I got my rapunzel scarves, but I'll be in the next granny daughter swap as well.

No worries! I can always add a note in your "additional info" section that you are open to other types of yarn, if you'd like- then, your sending partners would know that they had a couple of extra options. Let me know if that works for you (and the same goes for anyone else, too!).

Wink
6988  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 2008 12" Squares ~ NOV on: November 16, 2008 07:22:49 PM
Sigh... I brought my squares with me to work on this weekend... and we didn't get much crafting done... But, I'll get there!

Pretty!

Ooo, a new round for 09! I'm in.

Oh, goody! I'll have to start perusing my list of squares...

I'd rather stick with plain worsted weight, myself (I'll be using the yarn for Granny's Daughters, and I'd like them to be uniform in size/texture). But, I'd be willing to try to partner up folks who wouldn't mind receiving some fancier worsted weight. Just PM me, and I'll make a note of it.

Oooh! It's such a pretty square! And, I have the white color I've been using, which will be perfect, because I don't have any squares with a lot of white.

I'm still behind, but I'm working on catching up Wink I can't wait to see the completed afghans!

Thanks so much Horse Power! And, even though I'm way behind, I love doing this CAL- I also hope there is another one! I do have a file of 50 12" squares that I'd be willing to leak, one square at a time Wink Maybe I could actually keep up this time Wink In the last round, Homerof2 made her square before she posted the pattern- that would keep me on track! Grin

So... it sounds like I just volunteered to start the next round... unless someone else wants to do it (I can send you a bunch of pattern links...). I can just hear Homerof2 laughing, because I still haven't finished the last round (but I'm only 2 squares away!!).
