11  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Purse for my SIL on: February 21, 2007 09:09:35 PM
I made this purse for my SIL for Christmas.  She really liked it, which I'm glad, because it was a lot of work,  this is the first purse that I've lined, but it won't be the last. I'm so pleased with the way it turned out, there are some little things here and there that I need to work on, but over all I'm happy.

The purse...

12  COOKING / Dessert / Chocolate! Lots of it! on: February 21, 2007 08:54:54 PM
So, here is what I did all day today... We have a bake sale tomorrow at work, to help raise money for one of our co-workers, whose daughter has to have surgery.  I always do to much, I just don't know when to stop, but I love doing it anyway!

Chocolate Creme Puffs and Outrageous Double Chocolate-White Chocolate Chunk Cookies (could the name be any longer?)

Chocolate and White Chocolate Covered Strawberries

(the "w" are to distingush the white chocolate covered strawberries)

and a Boston Creme Pie

for some reason the cake slid, so it's slanted, and cracked, but I'm going to cut it and put it on plates before I take it to the bake sale, so it will be our little secret!
13  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Applique on: February 07, 2007 02:11:32 PM
I'm new to quilting, even more so to applique.  I have decided to applique a butterfly, using the satin stitch (it seemed the easiest).  My question is, it is really necessary for me to fold my edges, using the satin stitich?
14  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Purses IMG Heavy on: January 24, 2007 05:18:28 PM

These are a few of my purses that I crocheted... the pics aren't very good, as they were taken with a 2 megapixel camera... I've sold them all or I'd take better pictures.  The gray one was for my sis, and the middle one is actually closer to a lime green color, and the last one is purple with lady bug buttons, it was a custom order.
15  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Some of my Pics on: January 24, 2007 05:12:08 PM
I love taking pictures, I'm not a fantastic photographer (although my family thinks so... *hugs* to them).  I'm an aunt to 10 nieces and nephews, and a mom to 2 wonderful, adorably cute kids  Wink , so I mainly take pictures of them.

The first one is my nephew, Evin, 1yr old.
The second is my daughter, Natalie, 3 yr old, for some reason I think of Elton John when I see this pic.. lol
The third is my niece, Casey, 2 yr old, after eating chocolate pudding.
And last but not least, Ariana, 5 yrs old...
