151  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: Has anyone had an issue with lack of customer service at Paradise Fibers? on: February 28, 2007 01:24:01 PM
Huh, interesting, I just got a reply finally to my email a few minutes after I posted this, they are passing it on to their wheel guy.  Hopefully it will be resolved.
152  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Finally received correct part on: February 28, 2007 01:21:50 PM
I hope this is okay to post here, because I am getting nowhere.  I ordered my wheel from Paradise Fibers, I got it okay and the fibers I ordered.  But a piece of the plying head is broken and I have emailed them a few times with no response or follow up (since last Thursday).  My husband could probably fix the piece, but I want to know if they want it back or will send a replacement or whatnot.  When you order something that expensive you kind of want it to be in working condition.

Has anyone had an issue with them?  Or maybe are they just really busy or having personal things going on?

Wow, everyone's yarns are wonderful.  I hope to get that good someday, they are just beautiful!

Oscar the Grouch!!!  Awesome kiddo you have, I love it, tell him that I am using his name.  Yup they are all from yesterday and my first on my wheel.  I sat down when it came and only got up to eat dinner.  Wooo boy I was sore last night when I went to bed, but at least I have something to show for it!!

Just waiting to hear about my plying head, hopefully I can get a replacement quickly, my stomach just dropped when I saw it was broken.  Sad

Oh well, back to spinning away.  LOL!

Looks wonderful!!!  Great job and I love that shade of pink. Can't wait to see it with the brown, that is one of my fave color combos. Smiley

Gorgeous yarn, looks awesome!!!

Here is my first real contribution to Fiber Friday!!!!  Here are my first two plied skeins on my new wheel!

This one is half corriedale (the green is Hosta from Spunky Eclectic) and half merino (mill ends from the Sheep Shed).

This one is the same, just a different color corriedale (Pine from SE).

They are super squishy and soft.  Only about 30 yards each, but I am in love!  Smiley

Man, everything was going great, I was going to attach the plying maiden and the part the the flyer fits into snapped off. It is held on by two dowels and they were completely splintered and broken.   Cry  Here's hoping that I can get a new one quickly.

Gorgeous yarn and I love the spindle!!  Wow!   Shocked

I make soap and never thought to felt it, I might have to try that for my Christmas gifts this year.  Thanks for the idea!

I got mine from Paradise Fibers, super quick and very nice.  Got a $40 yarn credit and free shipping too.  The fibers I ordered with the credit should be here Monday. Smiley

Thanks hon, yes they are addictive.  While watching my spinning video I did this single too, Hosta colorway in Corriedale from SE too.  Get a little more even and not as overspun, still some pretty thin spots tho.   Undecided  I think I am going to try to ply this one with some thread, we shall see.

This will be my last post for today, gotta save up for Fiber Friday.  Wink
