1  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / ketchup packet recepies on: September 14, 2007 01:49:39 PM
If you have any idea what I'm looking for please help!

I used to know of a website that had funny "white trash" recepies using extreamly basic, easy to get ingredients.

For example: 1 ketchup packet + 1 mayo packet + 1 relish packet = thousand island dressing or chicken nugget casserole.

Has anyone seen a website like this??

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Hope Journal on: December 03, 2006 11:18:26 AM
Way back in the day ladies who were growing up and on their way to marriage had Hope Chests. I'm sure most of you have heard of these, but for those who have not, Hope Chests were chests filled with linens, dresses, tableware etc. basically the dowry of a young woman.

My boyfriends sister just got engaged and so for a present I decided to put a twist on this old custom. I made her a Hope Journal. Its just a regular journal, but I wrote her name, 'Hope Journal' and a little explanation in the front.

She can use it to write down any ideas/thoughts/wishes that she would want to remember for her house after the wedding. She can share it with her fiance when they are planning their life together or keep it to herself as a secret dream.

I hope she likes it!
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Long distance relationship in a box? on: November 24, 2006 04:49:14 PM
My boyfriend and I both attend Ohio University but he lives in Akron and I live in Maryland. We don't get to see each other at all over summer and winter break so I send him lots of love notes and things from magazines, newspapers, internet etc that remind me of him or know he would like. Maybe add some envelopes/stationary and stamps for some love filled snail mail.

sounds like a grade "A" guy!

this doesnt really go along with what you posted about him, but one of my favorite gifts for my guy friends is simple and fun. Buy one of those "friends forever" "you're the best" books from Hallmark or card stores then write, draw and color on the pages with inside jokes that relate to you two.

Its personal and will make him laugh!
8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Gift Idea for Traveling Boyfriend on: October 31, 2006 10:49:03 AM
My boyfriend is going on a 9 day mission trip to Israel this winter so for Hanukkah I'm going to make him a travel journal/book.

The first section will have lined pages for each day so he can write down what he did. I am also going to include pockets for papers he collects, quotes, and a picture of us for him to look at.

After that I'm going to hollow out the rest of the pages where he can stash non-paper items.

Any other thoughts/ideas would be great!
