1  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Monster Cupcakes on: February 13, 2011 08:29:38 PM
i might use both of those ideas... depending on what i can find leftover in the wreckage that i'm sure is walmart the night before valentine's day.  thanks for the feedback!!
2  COOKING / Dessert / Monster Cupcakes on: January 29, 2011 10:44:57 PM
i made these for a halloween party, but planning on making them again for the hubs for valentine's day.

just used a boxed cake mix (i know, i know...) and icing dyed green.  plus googley eyes from the craft aisle, sour gummy worms, candy corns, and plastic vampire teeth that i cut in half bc i couldn't fit the whole set without the cupcake falling apart.  i wish i had a better picture!

if anyone has any ideas on how to adapt these to look more valentine-y, i would appreciate it!  especially since candy corns are in low supply in february.  =)

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Re: Xyron machine - should i get one? on: August 17, 2006 08:29:43 PM
i have one, my aunt bought it for me for christmas.  i never, ever use it.  i hate dealing with reloading it and buying refills... i'd just as soon use those little sticky squares that are likw 2.99 per box.
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: got fun, original, badass xstitch patterns? share! on: October 26, 2005 07:43:40 PM
unfortunately, the website is going to be relatively small (at least for now) since i'm the only one contributing.  hopefully that will change, but i will definitely keep yall posted.
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / got fun, original, badass xstitch patterns? share! on: October 21, 2005 10:25:30 AM
my sister and i both have boring desk jobs, so we've taken up cross-stitching.  the only problem is, most of the patterns we find are some variation of a "home sweet home" sign - and the others cost money.  now, we may have jobs, but we're also broke college kids.

so i've decided to make a website of only free, original, funky designs.  i've made some patterns of my own, but i'm new at this so i don't have very many yet.

do any of yall have designs you'd like to share via my website?  they can be nearly anything - band logos, celebrities, abstract...  as long as they don't include the words "home sweet home."  (well, unless you can work that into something fresh, lol)  anyone who contributes will be fully credited for their work, and not just on the links page.  your name, email address, website, whatever you want will be listed with the pattern.

if you have something you'd like to contribute (ideas, patterns, etc.), you can post it here or email me at imrad_yourerad@hotmail.com.  thanks!
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / how to decorate a glass jug on: October 07, 2005 08:05:46 AM
like all broke college kids out there, i'm trying to save some of my money.  i've decided to save half of every pay check.  i don't trust banks, so i've decided to stash it in this big glass jug i have.  the problem is, it's an ugly jug.  plain glass with some purified water logo painted on it.  i can scratch off the logo without damaging the glass, but then what?  (one friend already suggested that i write "stripper tips" on it in permanent marker, lol)

does mod podge adhere well to slick glass?  what sort of paint will stay on without peeling down the line?  any suggestions for decorating this stupid thing would be greatly appreciated.
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: craft foam picture frame on: October 07, 2005 07:59:42 AM
yeah, it's getting dusty now.  a clean, damp washcloth seems to do the trick, though, just as long as you don't saturate the frame.  there's nothing cute about soggy craft foam.

omg.  coasters.  i love it.  i'm so glad i still have some left over.

(although, even if i didn't, i think i could spare $1 for another one.)

i like your mousepad... but what im more interested in (sorry ADD to the max) is the zebra print in the background... is that a bedspread because if so, i have the same one (its mink and soft and made by a company called muno or mino or minu or something like that)

wonu?  haha i bet it is the same!  so fuzzy...  i love that blanket.

haha thanks, i like my icon too!  i got the animation from an ace ventura fan site (it specified not to credit, because the author of the website didn't make it either lol...  wish i knew exactly who to credit!), but the rest i put together.

feel free to use it if you want to!  =)
