1  Re: Post your CRAFTY Tattoos! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by EmotionalBaggage on: June 08, 2010 04:24:08 AM
Most people think I'm a hairdresser, and I have to explain that I'm a seamstress instead.  Wink

2  Green Carry All Bag from Amy Butler Pattern in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by EmotionalBaggage on: March 25, 2008 07:13:37 PM
I was hoping that this would be my new bag to carry everything. However, not only is it a little too big for me to carry, but the handles aren't long enough for me. It did turn out cute though!  Grin

If it weren't dark outside I'd have taken the pictures out there.

3  Ham? For pressing round seams... in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by EmotionalBaggage on: March 12, 2008 01:22:41 AM
I just made a really neat hat, from this tutorial...

As you can see it calls for a "ham" which is optional. Well, after getting this hat assembled I noticed it would come in really handy to get my seams flat. I've been looking online for one, but still can't find it. Anyone know where I can get one? I suppose I could make one, but if there was one that was made out of wood or something I think it might hold up better.

BTW here's my hat, seams not pressed and no button at the top, so I guess it's not totally finished. Wink

4  Operation Handbag in CHALLENGE 21 ENTRIES by EmotionalBaggage on: October 01, 2007 09:37:05 AM
One of my favorite games as a kid...Operation! Not to mention funky pieces and way too much fun to work with!

The purse is folded out of the lid, and covered with a clear contact paper to protect it from the elements. I lined it with an old skirt. And the handles are an embroidery hoop broken in half and covered with the word Operation which I patiently peeled from the sides of the lid. They're held on with pieces of wire from the tweezers; and you can see them hanging from the handle sortof like a little purse charm!

Enjoy guys! This was so much fun to make!

5  Hello Kitty Hat! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by EmotionalBaggage on: July 20, 2007 06:22:37 PM
Inspired by noxenlux and her FABULOUS hats, I went out searching for a book on how to make them. I found one called Saturday Night Hat. And check out what I made!!

It has a comb on the underneath for holding it in the hair. This was fun to make!! Now I've got to make some more!

6  Re: Voodoo Doll Pincushion from Craftzine.com in Craftalongs by EmotionalBaggage on: June 30, 2007 04:11:07 PM

Alrighty guys, I finished my doll today!! I decided she needed some shoes, they're made out of glitter pvc in bright red, kindof like Dorothy's ruby slippers. And I made her little skirt out of a scrap of fabric from my scraps box! This project is great for scraps! Her hair is a heavyweight wool yarn that I just pulled apart. Smiley I hope you like her. Let's see everybody else's dolls!

8  WOOT! First hat! in Knitting: Completed Projects by EmotionalBaggage on: February 24, 2007 08:44:16 PM
Gotta give it up to Nifty Knitter! I've never liked knitting because it took me too long, but I was able to turn out this fun (uber warm) hat in 2 hours on my circle loom! It's a gorgeous garnet wool acrylic blend. I'm gonna add a flower or something to the side tomorrow.

9  Re: I want to make these...Silicon Coated Teacups... in Discussion and Questions by EmotionalBaggage on: December 08, 2006 08:00:27 AM
Alrighty. While I'm not so excited about the results. Here they are...

I think I'm not so excited because it just kindof looks like I dipped a cup in silicone. The grip is ok, not too strong either.  Undecided I'm gonna try that tool dip stuff too. Also, since this stuff is purple and will show up on everything I thought it would be fun to decorate the cups first and then dip them. So if the tool dip doesn't work that's my next avenue; then I feel a little better about gifting it. Wink
