1  Black Sesame Ice Cream in Dessert by Sabriel on: March 17, 2008 04:29:18 PM
Shortly before we began dating, my husband visited Japan.  One of the things he came back raving about was black sesame ice cream.  I was determined that someday I would make black sesame ice cream.  Four years later, I've finally gotten around to it!

Personally I prefer sweeter desserts but DH seemed to think it was pretty good.  I do think it looks cool.  And it's lactose free!  (Sorry for the blurry pic, had to snap quick before he dug in!)

2  Ninja Scarf in Knitting: Completed Projects by Sabriel on: March 17, 2008 04:14:17 PM
I made this super wide scarf for DH.  This is my first knitting project.  Only took me 2 years!

He's been alternating calling it the monster sized scarf or being a "scarf ninja".  I had wanted to make it a bit longer but I decided to finish it off at 2 skeins of yarn.  It's big enough to be a wrap on me!

3  Re: The Crafty Wedding Craftalong! in Weddings and Bridal Showers by Sabriel on: October 05, 2007 06:59:06 PM
I'm back after the wedding/honeymoon and putting up pictures finally!  Things were too crazy before to get the pics up.  Enjoy!  (It's going to be a little picture heavy!)

4  Yellow summer dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Sabriel on: October 18, 2006 06:33:54 PM
Here's my summer dress finished just in time for fall.   Wink  Please excuse the bra straps and the slight blurriness!

It's a little hard to see in the picture but the dress has an empire waist.

The dress pattern ended up a bit big.  I had to make some changes as I was sewing resulting in my darts being reduced.  That's what I get for not doing a muslin version.  But the material was free so what the hey!   Smiley

5  Bag for Renaissance Costume in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Sabriel on: October 05, 2006 11:38:10 AM
It was my friend's birthday last month.  I decided to make her a bag/pouch to go with her Renaissance costume as her present.

Here are some pics:

Turns out she doesn't really wear her Ren costume anymore... something about not being able to breathe when she sits down in it.   Wink  If nothing else the bag was a fancy container for her birthday chocolates.   Smiley
