1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Gloomy Bear! on: January 30, 2008 05:59:00 PM
Yay, Gloomy Bear!  Nice blood work!

I have a GB cell strap and people always ask, "Why is there blood all over that bear?" Ha.

Looks awesome, I love the yellow bandana inside!

Well, if you're willing to ditch the box the bracelet came in...

Viv and Ingrid are pretty cool jewelry designers and they happen to put their jewelry in these really cute fabric pouches (see link below) (and no, I have no affiliation with V&I, I just got done buying stuff from their website  Wink)

Anyway, it would be pretty easy to make a fabric envelope that you could slip the bracelet in, then tie with ribbon or make a ribbon band like in the link. Looks cute and professional and if you're anything like me you might have fabric scraps sitting around that could be put to good use.

Hope that helps!

I love the junkie idea (nothing is "too much" for my taste though).

How about... Jesus?  White, flowing robe, sandals, crown of thorns.  This may be in the too much category...

A Jack-in-the-Box?  A cardboard box around your body with the rest of you popping out... or VARIANT, Jack from Jack in the Box.  Wearing a giant paper mache head may become uncomfortable though.

Jebediah Springfield?

Ooo, how about Carrie?  You could get a purty prom dress and dump a bunch of fake blood on your head.  And look pissed.

It would be easy and cool.
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: But those were my favorite.... on: August 25, 2007 11:16:30 AM
Well, if it's not completely broken in half (there's no fixing that) and it's just splintered but still together you may be able to fix it.  Or try at least.

I would attempt putting a couple coats of Mod Podge or other clear craft glue on the breakage then another coat over the whole needle.  I'm not sure if it will hold well, but if you really love that stick then I would try it out.

I was wondering where you got that cool striped carpet!  Nice thinkin' with the floor mats.

And it looks like the cats enjoy it!  Cool.

Those are so sweet.  I love Wes Anderson, let us know when you do a Rushmore themed project - my favorite movie EVER.

Those are so sweet, I love the charm.  I'm guessing one of her colors is red?

WOW, I really like that sweater vest (the black and white), very hip.  Maybe I could find a copy of that Vk... hmm...
