1  Re: NIN - Art is Resistance - creating anything in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by Lobster Magnet on: March 22, 2007 04:18:13 PM
By the way...

It may need some tweaking, but I'll give it a test.

2  Re: Stealthy Crafting at work--what do you do? in Discussion and Questions by Lobster Magnet on: March 16, 2007 08:36:03 AM
Those morbid paper toys are pretty fun.  I'm sure they would work better with card stock, but since I have free reign on the printer at work, I usually just use copy paper.

Here's my cat Tiny being attacked by a paper robot I made at my desk.  It has movable arms and pincers!

And, yes, I have made the coffins before.  So cute.

3  Ha, take THAT, husband! in Knitting: Completed Projects by Lobster Magnet on: February 13, 2007 10:03:06 PM
So, my husband is always complaining of seeing me endlessly knitting but never finishing or wearing a completed project.  Yes, it's true, it's true.

I thought, what a better present for him on Valentine's Day than a finished product from his lovely wife!  Take that!  I can finish things (occasionally)!  What resulted is a decent pair of socks (my first attempt actually), and I'm pretty proud.  I used the cuff-to-toe formula from Knitty and a nice variegated yarn.  Hopefully Husband will like them too.

What do y'all think?

(the colors are a little more muted in person)
