Actually, I ended up putting 2 rods together to make it long enough, and I just went and looked at them (it's been a looong time).  I cut one of the caps in half to be like a little shelf to lay the rod on.

You can also find and size your font, print it mirror image, put it on your project and rub it on.  If it's material, use glossy paper and wet the material first.  Everything else just regular paper and rub.

I guess great minds do think alike!  The 1st thing I thought of was those little 'blank' muslin stuffed dolls they sell at the craft store-- embellish it to remind you of him -- then let the voodoo begin!! lol

On one of my windows I wanted to put sheers just inside the window frame (and not spend a fortune to do it!)  I screwed milk caps to the inside walls to hold my curtain rod.

Would that work for you?
