Amazing work! The colors are awesome, even my husband commented on how he liked the colors and pattern. (he peeks over my shoulder when I let out a OH WOW!) I can't wait to see what you do next!

This is one of the best idea's I have seen. I always hate when plans change and I don't get a quilt or project done on time. I will do this next time instead of an explanation in a card (BORING). Thank you!

The free motion quilting on this is beautiful!  The back is just as pretty as the front!!

9  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Quilt Challenge #1 - Little Birds on: January 23, 2007 08:00:36 AM
Here is my entry for the tiny quilt challenge. It measures 11.5 X 11 inches.

I used a combination of applique, regular piecing, and free motion quilting to complete this project.
Below is a slightly closer view for some detail.

I don't think the instructor and I see eye to eye.  She wants to put everything in a computer - know EXACTLY what colors you are going to use and exactly how big it is going to end up being and she didn't understand that I was going to pull from my fabric stash and use whatever I have and when I think it is big enough, it is going to be big enough.. and that I wanted to do all the quilting by machine not by hand.

That sounds like a horrible experience! It sounds like she sucked all the fun out of quilting. Don't give up, quitling is such a wonderful and enjoyable hobby.
