1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Searching for the oldest WIP on: February 09, 2012 03:44:13 PM
I'm sorry to say that I have many, many elderly WIPs...  apparently WIPs are all I know how to make. Grin  Mostly cross-stitch and various beading projects from when I was a kid, all too ugly to share (or finish) but that I just can't throw out for some reason.

And I also have some middle-aged WIPs from each of my pregnancies.  Pregnancy hormones not only increase my rate of WIP formation, but they decrease the rate of common sense that I use to decide whether a new project idea is viable.  This true for anyone else?
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Cat food bags upcycled to tote and messenger bags! on: June 24, 2010 03:18:49 PM
Funky idea!  LOVE the use of the ties!!

How do you clean the odor of the food out?  I always use mine to hold kindling, and they are so greasy and smelly that I can barely stand to touch them.

Ooh, this is way cuter than the file box I finally organized my junk into.  Very cool!

5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Fabric Bookcover, or "No, I'm not reading a romance novel"... on: June 10, 2010 11:37:19 PM
Love it, especially the bookmark - great idea!  Wish I had had one when I was trying to read Kushiel's Dart at work.  The cover art is lovely but a bit too eyecatching.   Grin

Awesome!  You can practice on my laptop if you wish.  Smiley  Has the altered keys affected your typing?  I type mostly by touch and if the keys felt different I'd be in trouble.
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Double sided fun-fur/fleece cat bed! on: June 10, 2010 11:12:55 PM
Love it!!!  I used this tutorial when I made mine:  http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=70758&page=1&pp=15  I'd love to know how yours was made.

It looks super snuggly!  Let us know how the fur holds up when your kitty comes home!
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Treasure Island Charm Bracelet on: June 10, 2010 11:03:56 PM
That is sooo pretty!  Where did you find all these awesome charms?  The treasure map is great.  I know your partner will love this.
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: A girl just wants to have fun....in her PURPLE kitchen! *first post!* on: January 18, 2010 09:28:55 PM
Lovely!  Another vote for changing the cabinet hardware instead of painting.  I painted my cabinets white once and... it really opened up the space but it was a PITB and they show every little splatter and smudge and imperfections in the wood.  Sad

So what paint colors did you use?

The window is AWESOME!

Yes, but whose flute was it?

It's beautiful!  I think it would be really fun with a clarinet as well.. if a person could stand ruining a beautiful instrument!
