1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: covers for ugly speakers?? on: September 16, 2010 12:27:49 AM
I'm having the same dilema. My boyfriend's home entertainment speakers are 5 ft tall! So I'm taking his old stained japanese silkscreen roomdividers, and covering them with burlap sack material and then making a trim with old wood from antique windows.
2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / Where To Find Things To Recycle / Re: I am looking for on: August 18, 2007 02:45:28 AM
Hotels! I work at a hotel and got so sick of these damn pamphlets taking up my desk space I threw them in recycling. We have boxes and boxes of them and we never use even 1/18 of them! I'm sure hotels and motels in your area would be more than happy to give them to you.

Most of my friends work at factories and warehouse that box and ship stuff. I know several people that worked for AnF and Limited and Express and all of the stuff that was out of season and never sold came back. They'd buy a trash bag for about $5 and go crazy. The only other store I know of that did that for the public was the local thrift store. They'd clear out at the end of the season and let ppl stuff brown paper bags for a buck!

Go to hotels. I work at a front desk and we have more than we'll ever use. Just go to all the local ones and ask if they have any laying around or stored somewhere. We have boxes and boxes that have never been opened!
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Goth Flapper, Geisha, Pirate, Mermaid and Woodsprite (images added 27 May) on: August 18, 2007 02:14:09 AM
I LOVE the redheaded pirate. I used to bartend at my (now ex) boyfriend's pirate themed bar. And obviously I'm a redhead. Do U still have the doll and (I feel embarassed even asking) would you be willing to sell it?
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Sunset Bedroom... but I'm sick of it on: August 04, 2007 07:35:24 PM
I'm IN LOVE w/your purple dresser!!! Where'd you find it? Or is there a company logo anywhere on it?
7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Warning: Adult Laguage... Metallica Revealed! on: March 04, 2007 05:30:13 PM
I'm a metallica fan but I still luv it! It reminds me of my ex-boyfriend's band. They think they are "the next metallica" and we take stabs at them all the time. I'd like to take what you've done and make a flier for his band like that. mwah ha ha.

10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: my doll on: March 21, 2005 11:22:28 PM
I would absolutely love to have one of those dolls. You mentioned customizing? Would you be able to use photos of people to make the dolls in their image? I don't want to sound conceited but, how cute would it be to have a beautiful doll like druella that looks like you? Please let me know if you decide on an asking price, I'd love to have a doll like druella.
