1. Sharpie 2. buttons 3. candycone

Then here's the middle item (gkwife did two middle instead of five small items):

A toddle size fitted sheet

And lastly, the last middle item--however, I'll like to think of it as a large item rlol!

Front side of the blanket!

Back side of the blanket

Saving the best for last: the whole bedding that gkwife made for my lilo guy through out the swap Cheesy

(NICE HUH)--> my son absolutely adores his new bedding. Thank you Karla!

I received the SECOND package from my partner gkswife but wasn't able to post pictures untill now....gkswife, again, I'm so sorry for the delay.  I know you worked hard on this package and I absolutely love everything that you sent.

First: the letter and a book on how to crochet

Second: cookie cutters for my little guy and I

Third: fabric paint--an addition to my stenciling supplies

Fourth: A lovely and well done covered binder with tons of recipents

Inside view of binder

Finally! an apron just for me...thank you so much.  Notice how winkled it is? YUP that's because I've been using it ever since I took it out of the box Smiley

Extra: Matching hair clips (fabric is the same as the apron!)

Thank you again gkwife!

12  my friendship bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by palicious on: April 22, 2008 08:00:41 PM
my internship ended and I wanted to make a gift for one of the ladies that I was working with who has been a great mentor.  I shared a lot about my culture with her so I thought it would be nice to give her a parting gift that reflects it.  I made this bag using an embroidery cloth I purchased from a Hmong lady.  I hope she'll like it.

Front: zipper closure b/c I hate it when my stuff falls out!

side view: pleats!

Inside: just one pocket

Back view: one big pocket for easy access

Action shot!

Comments/criticism are welcome.

Thank you for looking!

13  He LOVES trees! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by palicious on: April 10, 2008 01:05:26 PM
So I've decided that since my lilo guy is 2, I needed something more stylish to tote his essentials around.  Since he loves trees...

I made him...me! a tree tote

Side view...this turned out much smaller than I'd anticipated but it is a GOOD size bag..not too big and not too small.

I used part of a $3 sheet from the thrift store for the lining as well as a $.10 zipper.

Action shot! lol...he stuffed his fav books and cars in it before I was even finished!

I'm having a bit of a problem getting the tree to stay on.  I used spray adhesive but the ends of the tree keeps peeling. Is there any other alternatives?

Comments/criticism welcome! Thanks for looking!

Front: basic empire front with ties

Back: button closure on back

Detail: buttons and details on strap.

P.S.The top is opened on the sides thus there's no seams

Comments/Criticisms are welcome. Thanks for looking  Cheesy

Here is a picture of the Victorian England/Emily Dickinson Wristlet that housed the tin I made for balkandina.  I didn't take any pictures of the tin or the other item so hopefully she'll be able to get them up soon  Grin

17  Victorian England/Emily Dickinson Wristlet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by palicious on: September 18, 2007 01:12:11 PM
I made this wristlet for a tin theme swap just recently.  We were suppose to fill the tin with items that relate to the theme of the tin but I couldn't find any ideas for what to fill it with therefore I made this wristlet.

The zipper puller/wristlet-handle was originally a decorative component of a pair of pants and the ivory and blue lace came from the thrift store. The graphic of Emily Dickerson and of the victoria england Queen were printed onto the fabric by using by a tuition I got off of www.instructables.com. I can't remember the specific url but if you really want it I'll try to find it.  Anyways, I also added beads in different shades of blue to the back of the bag.

19  the sweetest little wallet...you must see! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by palicious on: September 06, 2007 09:35:10 PM
Ah...got bored tonight so I decided to make a wallet fashioned after a similar and a tinier hello kitty store-brought one that on longer function.

I didn't want to make the whole thing just out of duct tape and I sure wasn't going to pull my machine out of the closet tonight lol...forgive me for being too lazy  Roll Eyes so I combined the two items...no hehhehehe! not ducktape and the sewing machine! ducktape and scrap fabric that I received from a swap lol...they prove to be handy.

Alright, here is the result of my advantageous boredomness tonight.

Front: open flap with clear vinyl window.  The inside [not pictured] is lined with ducktape in order to add some reinforcer to the fabric.

Front: closed flap with more stuff in there e.g. monies  Grin

Back: polka dots made my day!

Thanks so much for looking.  I love comments/constructive criticisms and would really appreciate your opinions.

More pictures will be added to my blog at www.xanga.com/madebypa soon.
