1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: 50s pulp fiction trinket box sooo sparkly!! on: September 17, 2004 01:20:08 AM
Yeah. These were pulp fiction postcards that I ordered a long, long time ago from puplcards.com.
They have AWESOME Stuff....the small dia de los muertos one was printed off the computer....but I printed it in color because it's actually a cream colored background. it looks better than if it were black and white. I saw some paper mache ornaments that would look great with this sort of thing, too! Pulp fiction Christmas tree would be great!!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: 50's dilemma on: August 01, 2004 11:20:55 AM
I've bought TONS of original 50s patterns on e-bay...you just want to make sure that all the pieces are in it....They're not terribly expensive, either, some of them have never been used. I wouldn't spend more than 3 or 4 bucks for one....also, vintage sizes are much different than modern sizes....for instance, a size 12 dress in vintage sizes is about a modern 4. You might want to contact the seller to help you with that part.
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: My Pillow on: July 26, 2004 12:24:46 PM
That looks really nice! I'm sure your sister will enjoy it. I've always wanted to try embroidery but was always intimidated. I guess it's not that hard after all. good job!
4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Has anyone else gotten a "payment reversal" from a Paypal buyer? on: July 25, 2004 08:48:06 PM
Yes, the confirmed address is the billing address for the bank account or credit card account...that way you know you're sending it to the person who bought it and it qualifies for that protection. I'm so sorry you had to go through that mess with paypal...that totally sucks.
5  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: tell me what to be for halloween on: July 20, 2004 11:24:41 PM
maybe you can have a friend be something with you...I've always wanted my boyfriend and I to be RunDMC....or Pootie Tang and Biggie Shortie.
I love it when there is two or more people that do sort of a "theme."

7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / What's up with JoAnn Fabrics?? Store closings?? on: July 20, 2004 08:42:10 AM
I was reading through some of the threads. It looks like Joann Fabrics is closing in several areas around the country...I know there was a huge E.T.C. store that closed in Las Vegas a year or two ago, and now the one that is literally two minutes from my apartment here in El Paso is closing...what's up with that??? It's just that I get the coupons in the mail every couple of weeks or so...sniffle...this is going to cramp my crafting style!

10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: Decorations for a Vegas Baby Vegas Shower on: July 17, 2004 06:09:15 PM
You could probably paint some old square cardboard boxes like dice....probably with some spray paint, and paint the little dots on them and stack them up...that would look REALLY cute....
