2  My gown that drove me craaaaazy..........***Edited with tut info*** in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Sheva on: September 12, 2008 01:29:07 PM
I decided to make a gown for my son's Bar Mitzvah. I decided to make it because the modest options out there are just not options at all . Well this gown was going to be the end of me i must of fit it 100 times. In the end i liked it but it was tight across the back once i added the sleeves. I used a basic new style pattern and added length and sleeves. I couldn't decide do i love this gown or did a cupcake throw up all over me.
** I added a tut on my blog on how to add sleeves to a pattern because a few of you asked***

I am excited to say that i received today!!! I'm sorry it took so long for me to post this but i was organizing a "give away" for my blog and got tied up. Anyways this is the  perfect day to receive because today is my English Birthday. Thank you so much Rose i love everything.
Here is what i received...
1. The most beautiful crocheted Challah cover ever. I love it so much i am going to take an action shot of it before Shabbos tomorrow.
2. A beautiful crocheted bookmark. I immediately put it in my Siddur and will be used daily. I love it!
3. The funnest stuffed Challah, My toddler loves this he has been schlepping it around all day its so cute. I am going to set it up for him on Shabbos " Just like Tatty"
4. A gorgeous cross stitched Chai. The work was amazing and i can't wait to put it up. L' Chaim to my chai!
5. Last but not least was a box of chanukah candles but not any ol box. Rose was nice enough to color organize it for me so when i opened it it was a beautiful shaded box of colors not the shlubby multi color pack. I can't wait for Chanukah. I loved it all so much . Thank you Thank you! A Dank!! Todah!!

10  Fight for your right to use fabric!!! in CHALLENGE 20 ENTRIES by Sheva on: August 04, 2007 09:16:58 PM
So before this contest came out i had planned to make my own grocery bags. Why? Well where i live my local markets believe strongly in the double bag and as little  as possible in a bag theory. I usually ask my stores to please single bag and stuff in as much as possible in each bag. This request never went well for me, one time they actually triple bagged my items. I decided after looking at my mountain (yes a mountain) of bags that i needed to make my own and here is my first bag i plan to make about 4.......

This is a close up of the corner of my bag. It is an iorn on i made, and i felt the need to put it here because i know my stores will fight me when i hand them the fabric bags, but now i'll say see this is a grocery bag!

I plan to fight for my right to use fabric!!!!
