I love the greens (green is my favourite) and now you have a wonderful anniversary gift for them !
The sack is a great idea.

Have you given it to them yet? Would love to hear how they reacted. Is it a surprise?

Speaking of downloading patterns, this website I found called sewingpatterns.com has patterns for download.
But do you know if they come as multisize or only one size per download?
Thought someone might know. Will send them an email and double check before I purchase. It is a lot cheaper than buying a paper pattern but if there is only one size then it is not really a saving.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: How to put ruffle into seam of bagged out reversible jumper dress, any advice? on: June 16, 2012 03:53:08 AM
I worked it out, don't worry.
Frill does not go right the way to the side seam, that's all.

I really like Simplicity 6423, it is a vintage pattern from the 80s. cute and easy to make, bias binding for the ties.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / How to put ruffle into seam of bagged out reversible jumper dress, any advice? on: May 25, 2012 03:29:32 AM
hi there,
I am happily sewing away at reversible pinny/jumper dresses where the lining and the main fabric are the same size. The whole thing is sewn along the top, then along the bottom, then turned right side out and the side seams joined up together. So it is "bagged out"
The dress has buttons at the top.

I have been using this method here

Trouble is, I wish to insert a frill along the bottom hem, rather than sew it on to the top or bottomside of the completed dress. Is this possible? I tried sandwiching it in the seam when I sewed the lining and main fabrics together, but I could not work out how to join the frill at the side seam. I did not want to trap the frill into the side seam when I got up to step 8 but I couldn't work out how else to do it..

Sorry if I can't explain what I mean clearly.  Huh

Anyone know if this can be done and if so, how?

This is an awesome quilt! I put it in my "pixelated patchwork" treasury...it is by far the best...

I am thinking of making my brother a nintendo themed quilt for my next major project, so thanks for the inspiration..
