I buy mine from mccullough and wallis they sell it very economically in batches of 25 sheets (91cm x 115cm) for under 10 or in large 150m rolls
they also sell block card by the metre

or you can always buy it from morplan

when i buy fabric I always go to goldhawk road(hammersmith and city line) it has about five or six fabric shops that sell everything from cashmere suiting to silk paper fabric all at very cheap prices. this is also where most fashion student etc buy there fabric from.

for yarn I go to Prickyourfinger (bethnal green) loop (islington) and the handweavers studio (walthamstow)

I agree you want a proper circle skirt too many gathers around the waist will make you look huge

I guess I'm weird... I only wear skirts.

OMG same here!

I haven't worn pants in a year and a half.

Skirts are waaaaay more comfy and alot easier to shop for than pants are.

Now I feel all manly in jeans lol.  Grin

no your not alone I've only worn skirts since I was about 12 I make all of them too. I cant be doing with shop bought skirts cause I'm much smaller in the waist than the hips so I can never find skirts to fit
