22  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / 'I choo- choo- choose you!' My last minute valentine <3 on: February 13, 2005 06:48:55 PM
Ok, so those of you who are familiar with the Simpsons will understand the origin of this Valentines Day card..
My boy and I aren't really into the whole 'V-day' thing.. commercialism and such, but I thought I'd make him this card because it's cute, funny and we are both huge Simpson nerds Smiley
I made it last night (being the 13th), just outta some crap I had in my desk drawer (could go get any crafting stuff coz everyone was in bed!!)
I just thought it was a fun thing for a not so seriously mushy V-day card..

Front... I'm not a very good drawer and this is all copied.. so yeah.. be nice Smiley

If you want this image.. or the image of the other card (Lets BEE friends) then just google the phrase 'I choo choo chose you' !!
I probably could have printed it.. but i thought it was nicer if I tried to copy it Smiley

23  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Neiman Marcus (another over-priced designer) Necklace on: February 10, 2005 02:19:16 AM
Hey you little craftsters...
I was thinking that maybe some of you could try this...

I probably couldnt pull it off and I dont have the right kind of materials.. but let me know if you try it and how it turns out!

<3 Smiley

Edit: Just adding that the internet retail price for this piece is $350!!
24  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Beaded SafetyPin Bracelet on: January 20, 2005 03:34:38 PM
Hey guys,
So I'm not sure if something like this has been posted before.. I've seen some variations.. but yeah.. so here's my beaded safety pin bracelet.. Hope you like it!

By itself.. all lonely and unloved...

Me modelling the bracelet..

A moderately blurry pic of the bracelet.. even closer-up..

And thats it! Smiley

25  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / MY first necktie skirt on: January 18, 2005 06:06:54 PM
Hey all you crafty nutters...
I suppose almost everyone on this site has done the tie-skirt thing, but not it's my turn!
This was my first real sewing task.. First skirt.. First real post..

I'm not real prone to planning and patterns, I just sorta do things on whim, but I'd been meaning to make a tie-skirt for about 3 years, and finally it was done in time for HOMEBAKE (Aussie music festival)
Hope you guys dig it.

From the front (excuse room messiness)

My favourite tie! The cat one. It was such a great fond for about $3 at thte Opp Shop

And that's it!
26  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Fluffy Pencil Case on: May 26, 2004 03:57:39 AM
Hey All..
I'm kinda new here.. I've been looking at all your ideas and this site is just so.... neat!!

Here's my contribution.. It's a pencil case i made outta some fluffy material.. instead of doing homework..  Embarrassed It's nothing special.. and it's hand sewn.. as it was late at night and no machine....

Finished Product

I had to use buttons as there wasn't a zipper lying around anywhere.. it's surprisingly effective...

The material is hard to work with.. and I kept getting allergies from all the fluff that.. basically molts off it..

Anyway.. that's it  Smiley

p.s I wasn't really sure where to post this.. but hey
