1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Dressy pantsuit...? on: October 31, 2006 06:10:27 AM
I found this pantsuit on ebay, and i really would like to have something like it for christmas.  I'd like to find different style pics of this too, but I can't seem to find any, I think because I'm not exactly sure what it's called.
Has anyone seen anything like this? It's a pants w/ an almost dress length top, too cute.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Dressing up a 6 yr old..50's style? on: October 30, 2006 01:31:34 PM
So my son has a 50's day at school, their celebrating the 50th day of school.  And their encouraged to dress in 50's apparel.  What could i make/ put on him?  Jeans, collared shirts, he has an old faux-leather jacket somewhere... any reference pics would be appreciated too.  Thanks!  Smiley
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Beret for my Nana on: October 29, 2006 09:16:43 AM
Here's a beret I made for my Nana for her birthday, she's a halloween baby!  Anyway, you can only see it from the top on this pic, but there's garter stitch around the opening of the hat.  I also crocheted a snowflake and sewed it to the hat, I think it looks nice, and she likes it. Smiley

Made these for the girls that are coming to my daughter's party.  The multi-coloring is sized for a young girl, she's 7. And the pink is sized for a toddler, she's almost 3. Smiley

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Baby Boy Sweater on: October 17, 2006 07:53:05 AM
I made this for my 6 month old son.  I'm planning on making him a matching hat to go with it.

Finished knitting and layed flat:

All sewn up:

On my son:

It's about a size 6-12, since it's stretchy enough to last him through a couple of months.  Also, it's my own pattern, done entirely in seed stitch. Yeah me! lol.  And yes, the stripes do match up on the sides.  Cheesy
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Candle Flame Shawl..where did it go? on: September 28, 2006 06:24:57 PM
So i've had this on my wists, and i decided to look at it again.  And now i can't get to it.  It says the wayback machine is having technical difficulties, is it just me, or can't anyone see it.  Undecided

Did anyone happen to save the pattern?

8  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Suggestions wanted for princess quilt on: September 19, 2006 01:47:29 PM
I bought this panel:

And I would like to make it bigger.  But I need some suggestions.

It's for my daughter, who's almost 4, we're making her a princess room, and i'm gonna make this and give it to her for her b-day in October (21st).

I'm gonna put the packaged binding around the outside, either white or pink, i have both.  And whatever i use to make the front bigger, either plain fabric or piecing I want to do on the back also.  any suggestions anyone?
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Wrap around pleated skirt question on: September 19, 2006 08:22:58 AM
I found this tutorial: http://www.starfirephoenix.net/hppoaskirttutorial.htm

I was reading through the directions and i have a question, maybe one of yous can help me with.  So i get to step 3, where your supposed to cut out your pieces.  But how wide do you make your skirt pieces?  She says about the length of the pieces.  Or am I missing something.

Or are you supposed to fold your fabric, and cut whats a quarter of your measurement of your waist (plus seam allowance). ?
THanks for any help. Smiley
