I'm using the tutorial from here http://www.ohmystars.net/craft/index.htm
and I don't get that last step about how you cut a top band out shorter than the width. where do I cut the band off from? What width do I pick?
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Not working? on: September 25, 2004 10:41:16 PM
Ok, so I found the website I needed, www.freewebs.com/stencils but now its not working, and it hasn't been. Its like theres this big white box, so when I click on the 'people', 'movies', things nothing comes up, its just a white box. is this happening for anyone else? does anyone have an actual link to the site that I could use?
3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / stencil site? on: September 25, 2004 11:06:58 AM
Does anybody know any sites with stencils ready to print out and use? I know there was one who had a photo bucket account, and there were tons of stencils. does anybody know that link?

5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Ruffler problem on: June 18, 2004 08:29:35 PM
I dont know if I'm just an idiot, (actually I am,) but I'm very confused on how to attach the ruffler to the sewing machine. Does anyone have a picture of how it attaches? The instruction sheet is a tiny piece with only a little bit written, and thats about the adjustments. erggg help?
6  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / ruffler on: June 10, 2004 07:54:45 PM
Hey I've decided I need a ruffler really bad to help me with the skirts I've been making, and I dont know where to buy a hopefully affordable one? Someone said that JoAnns sells them for like $15, but I checked the ones near my house and they don't sell them. (I Live in Washington state) So if someone could pick one up for me and I'll pay for s&h or if you know where I can buy one, let me know PLEASE! thank yoU!
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / wrap around skirt on: June 05, 2004 09:55:57 PM
hey I just finished making my first skirt...it came out ok, just beginner mistakes, and it was too big for me:(
but now, I wanted to make a wrap-around skirt from a dalmations pillowcase. can anyone tell me how to make it stay up or get it on and off easily? thank you!
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Elastic on: June 03, 2004 05:20:37 PM
How do you use the elastic on a waistband for a skirt? Sorry Mojo, I tried looking through the websites you gave me, but I didn't see anything with elastic. Since it stretches, do you stretch the amount around your waist and cut that much that fits? Then poke it through the slits for where it goes through? But wouldn't there be extra space...?
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Skirts too see through on: June 01, 2004 09:05:16 PM
hey, I just started a skirt today made out of a bed skirt from goodwill, and it's kind of see through. should I get white fabric? do i just sew it underneath? i was going to add eyelet trimming on the end too.? also, can anyone help me with my stencil dilemna? its a few posts under or over, depends where this ends up. but i made a stencil today of a red dinosaur, and when I ironed over it, the paper towel kinda stuck to it, so now i've got some blotches of paper. is there any way to remove it?
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help me with my stencil! on: June 01, 2004 05:50:28 PM
Hey, so I made a stencil today, a red dinosaur on a white shirt, and when I ironed it, the paper towel stuck to some of the dinosaur. Is there any way for me to get it out or is it completely ruined?Sad
