1  ABC Fabric Book (lots of pics) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by ecreations on: November 14, 2008 02:14:05 AM
I made this alphabet book as a gift for a 1st birthday
The front and back covers are crochet. I tried to give each page a different style/technique and each letter a different colour, as well as a variety of textures

2  Re: New to crochet: question on holding the yarn in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by ecreations on: April 07, 2008 05:01:04 PM
I hold it pretty much the same as ademareej. Thats the way I was taught.
So its over the pinky, under the ring and middle then over the index. Then I use the ring finger and thumb to hold the work (or the tail, when starting a chain).
I took a few pics, hopefully they help.

I received my last parcel today!
A bunch of goodies from Cyndi !
I requested a glass slide pendant and a nestlace.

The whole lot:

The nestlace (I love how the length is adjustable, I'm wearing right now)

Both sides of the glass slide pendant (sorry the pics are so dark, flash and glass just don't mix!)

The bonus braclet

And scoobie pen

And there was two cute pouches, that can be seen in the first pic.

for these great items, and for organizing this whole swap

I love the fabrics, a b&w paisley print and a black with white polka dot lining.

, Its the perfect size for my wallet and phone, and very convenient.

10  Amigurumi style Christmas Gnome in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by ecreations on: October 15, 2006 04:21:52 PM
Presenting... A Christmas Gnome - my first try at amigurumi - inspired by all the wonderful crocheters on these boards

In my hand

Close up

His body is 4 ply cotton in a beige colour and his hat is a soft unknown yarn in red. I embroidered his eyes and hat, I had trouble trying to put in a mouth (my embroidery skills are lacking), so I left that off.
He is stuffed with polyester fiber-fill and his hat and head are sewn together with embroidery thread
The green thread off the top of the hat is to hang him from the Christmas tree.

I'd love to hear your comments
