6  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / What stich is this? (handsewing) on: March 23, 2009 10:37:51 PM
Okay, I dont know if you can all me amateur because I ahve been handsewing a number of years but I've basically stuck to the basic ones. I don't really know their names but I know how to do most of them. But I've come across this stich on this etsy I was looking at: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=11108049
I think that clip is so neatly done and I was just wondering what stitch was going around the clip- the one that binds the two felt pieces together. This question maybe be a bit stupid but I really have no idea. It would be great if someone can tell me and maybe provide a link (with pictures maybe?) to learn how to do this stitch? It would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

I AM A HUGGGGEEEE JONAS BROTHERS FAN TOO!! And it's so strange because I wanted to do something like that, and I thought about it like just LAST NIGHT... and I saw this today. So weird! But I was just wondering.. how did you get the stamp like that? I really want to make a stamp for that? I'm actually willing to go buy a stamp for the JB logo.. =/ Help?

Glad you like it! Great minds think alike!

I hand carved the stamp with limo. Which is actually really easy to do. There's probably a tutorial around somewhere. I know that they even sell make-your-own stamp kits (which is what I used) and all you need to do is print out the image (or logo) and trace it onto tracing paper, then transfer it to the limo (which is basically like a large square of eraser) then carve it. Most of the kits come with the lino, tracing paper, and the tools. It's actually a really fun medium.

I'm also a huge fan of JB and I just went to their concert on the 10th. I didn't make a shirt for this concert but did for the last concert- yours is soo much better. I mean the sign is perfectly done :] Oh and btw, I love the peace shirt
