Wow, everytime I see Katamari crafts I squeal in joy! Yours is adorable! I want to make every single one of the cousins. In the meantime maybe I'll try making one for my brother for his birthday/christmas.

And we have the soundtracks too! Very very fun! And I love the album art!
38  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / A little skeleton bear!! on: May 21, 2007 02:50:36 AM
I hadn't posted anything in a while...and then I decided to post this little guy I made a while ago. He's not actually finished - I cut out little arm & leg bones for him but I haven't sewn them on. But you get the idea. He's based on Baby London Star's pattern http://members.shaw.ca/plushie/moogle/ there but I omitted all the moogly bits Cheesy. I have made the moogle before and he turned out quite cute. Anyway, I recommend that pattern to everyone.

He's all handsewn felt with little jointed arms and legs. The photography isn't stunning and I apologise, nothing beats real sunlight - but it's night and I have to make do with a flash. Sad

But anyway, what do you think? I was thinking of making my own little bear/cat/rabbit pattern so I could make up my own little skeleton creatures to sell one day. I hope to have an etsy shop one day...but for now I will make things at my leisure! I could even turn a few of them in day of the dead style creatures like the big one I made for a swap once...http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/54107236/?qo=4&q=by%3Apaperdaisies&qh=sort%3Atime+-in%3Ascraps but obviously a lot smaller.

Haha, sorry, I got a case of the rambles...I'd love to hear what you all think!

ps. I know, his ears are pointy like a kitty. But I maintain that he is a bear. Cheesy
39  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Little girl in a random forest, doodle of boredom, for a coloring-a-long! on: May 20, 2007 11:25:28 PM
What an awesome idea! I might just give this bub a go!

...and OY, I love your colouring book idea! I think everyone, deep down, harbors a secret love of colouring in. I used to draw silly colouring pictures for little friends of mine. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
40  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Re: Paperdaisies' very own ATC gallery! on: May 12, 2007 07:38:28 AM
I have made a few more cards...yay! These are in a different style...yet again. I can't seem to stick with one style...I flit & flut like a little nuerotic butterfly between themes & ideas.

Here is a pastel card I made. I'm not particularly happy with it, it's a very boring design - I just sorta made it up on the spot. I like looking at it though, I love the layers you can create with pastels...

"Pastel experiment - leaves" -traded
And here we have a card that was inspired by a painting I found in an art instruction book. I changed the composition & colours a little & I'm generally happy with it...

"Village & fields" -traded
And lastly, another one inspired my a painting from the same book. Same composition, different medium, colours & style.

"Yellow & purple still life" -traded

What do you think?
