1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Re: What to do with a zillion seed beads? on: October 18, 2006 08:24:52 AM
Any chance you could post a picture of your new stash? Would be much easier to give you suggestions if we know what you have to work with. Stringing, weaving, embroidery, and on and on.  Smiley

This is a loomed piece I made while taking a class with bead artist Don Pierce. I had the polymer vessel and the beads already, I just didn't initially see them as going together. It was while pulling out beads and deciding which project I wanted to try that it all literally fell together.

Such fun necklaces. I'd have taken that last light blue chunky necklace myself. Congrats on your sales.

Beautiful. That is a lovely use of spiral stitch, and the blue donut is gorgeous.

Not a colorway that I'd typically go for but this so cute. Very Spring-like.

Thank you all for your kind words.  Grin

I do seem to be a glutton for punishment when it comes to my beading projects. But then, it's what keep me fascinated and going.

And batty, don't you worry. I definitely take that as a complement. If I can be a rad crafter and live to be 102, I'll be tickled silly!

Thanks again, and I'll definitely post more pictures.
7  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: redone site -- would love any input/advice on: September 26, 2006 12:34:26 PM
Lovely site. A few comments:

- Are any of these one of a kind pieces? If so, I wouldn't say "Out of StocK". It makes it sound mass produced. Use "Sold" instead.

- Maybe add the work Catalog or Shop above the links for the different items you make. It would just make it more obvious that your work can be bought right on the site.

I'm not familiar with what you're talking about; possibly a picture of what you had in mind?

In general, I'm sure there is a market for them since everyone and their grandmother is wearing them. It may be a short lived one though so if you're going to do it, do it now.

This is lovely. Not only that, I bet it's nice and warm.

These are all so cool. Now I have to make a cozy for my iPod mini!
