1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Oil Paintings (partial nudity?) on: September 28, 2008 10:32:12 AM

Comments/Critt welcome! Smiley
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / HK Pajama Tops... on: January 01, 2008 08:16:09 AM
I guess this is where this goes (shame on me, I should know...) My friend loves Hello Kitty and pink (so tough to come up with something using both, eh?).  On the light pink shirt I used glow-in-the-dark fabric paint to make an HK outline.  On the hot pink shirt I used acrylic paint (which was heat-set) to make HK and Chococat.  I think they turned out ok, considering they were freehanded in a desperate attempt to be finished by Christmas. Grin  The shirts are soooooo soft!

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Godsmack onesie... on: September 01, 2007 03:48:24 PM
Okay, first off I know this pic is freaky because the baby's head was cropped.  I assure you, the baby is fine (and man, is she adoreable!)  This is a onesie I made for my friend's baby.  It's still a little big on her in the pic, but my friend couldn't wait to put it on her!  The sleeves are trimmed with camoflauge material, and that is the Godsmack (her fav. band) logo in the center.  Thanks for looking!

What do you think? Wink
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / ~Baby Blanket and matching diaper! Jungle theme!~ (Now with bib and burp cloth) on: August 09, 2007 06:57:44 AM
Hey all.  I made this blanket for my friend, she is due in 4 weeks! (I know, I know, I have quite a few friends who are pregnant or have been).  I had some left over material and she is gung ho about using cloth diapers, so naturally...  Smiley I still have a little left, I am thinking maybe a pillow case or burp cloth/receiving blanket.. Any suggestions about what to do with the extra?

Thanks for looking! I love comments/suggestions  Wink

By the way, I found the diaper pattern at...
It was super easy, I have never made one before!  The bib I winged.
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Miscellaneous Artwork... on: June 03, 2007 05:09:10 AM
I had a job interview (yay!) (but I didn't get it, boo), and the board which interviewed me wanted to see some of my stuff so I made an album on photobucket.
Comments/constructive crit. appreciated!  Oh hell, thanks for even looking!
6  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Two kitty baby blankets (clickably image heavy) on: February 18, 2007 07:47:09 PM
Here are some baby blankets I made for my expecting friend (one for a boy, one for a girl).  I'm not finished the blue one yet, but from the pink one, I am sure you can get an idea as to how it will turn out.
Thanks for looking!

7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / LightBrite Err! (Maybe offensive?) on: February 03, 2007 06:44:10 PM
Well, I will just let you read the article...

So I just had to make one on the LightBrite cube my b/f got me for Christmas! I didn't really plan it out, just kind of did it "freehand" (which is why it's not that spectacular).  Wish I had purple pegs. Undecided

Sorry you have to click it to see it, don't think I can add pictures in this post yet...

8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / ~Woodburnt Nephew Portrait...~ on: December 28, 2006 08:16:37 PM
I made this as a Christmas present for my sister (sucks being poor).  It's of her 3 year old son, Derrik.  I hope she likes it!  Sorry about the way I got the pics on here, I'm still not sure how to do it (or if I can).  Guess I should have checked into that before I tried posting...

Comments please!  (Not on my stupidity in posting, but, you know on the woodburning)

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Jeans --> Hemmed jeans with huge bellbottoms on: August 23, 2006 09:23:06 PM
Hey everyone.  I love jeans (who doesn't?)  However, I do not love that they are not made for my size and height (a towering 5 feet).  Most jeans today are bootcut, which is cool, but I love huge bellbottom/flares.  Anyway, because of my height I have to hem most of my jeans, which results in them losing the big, if any, flare.

So, my idea was to make huge flares on normal jeans. I can find fairly cheap jeans at thrift stores, but most of them are tapered (bleh!).  To make big bells, I could always insert a triangle of fabric up the side seams.  But, I wanted to cut the jeans at the knees in a triangle shape (kind of westernish) and add whole new bottoms out of some other material.

Basically, I was wondering how to attach the fabric in the triangular fashion at the knees, and how to make huge bellbottoms.  Sorry about the awful picture, I am at a computer where I do not have better photoediting software, but hopefully it helps to convey the idea.  Thanks for looking and helping out!
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / How would I make this shirt? on: August 23, 2006 08:35:46 PM
I know it looks simple, but I am what one would call inexperienced.  Does anyone know how to make the off-shoulder/boatneck look the shirt in this picture has?  Thanks.  IMG]http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l133/StefanieNIN/girl.gif[/IMG]
