That's such a gorgeous quilt, I know that your father will really love it and cherish it always.

Thoughtful gift, and those are the ones that mean the most.

And - your quilting job isn't crappy!!

2454  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: Looking for Teddy Pattern, Non-Jointed. on: August 22, 2006 02:23:06 PM
I actually just did a few Google searches a few days ago and came up with some awesome sites with free patterns.

These are the ones I've found, and I've tried about 6 of them, and they seem to be pretty good especially since I'm new at the whole making teddy bears. Cheesy

Hope they help:

http://www.kuninfelt.com/projectsheets/rainplush/blossom_bear.htm <- I'm in the process of making this one now, and it's really simple, and I'm just using regular scrap fabric, not felt.

http://dollmakersjourney.com/freepatterns.html <- This one has dolls, bunnies and others.. I forget if it's got bears.
2455  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My very first completed teddy bear on: August 22, 2006 02:08:58 PM
Just browsing the net one night and I found a bunch of neat patterns for teddy bears I wanted to try.. and since I have a ton of scrap fabric I figured I'd give it a go:

Not too bad for my first.. any and all constructive criticism would be good.  I enjoyed making it, so if anyone's got tips or tricks on how to make them better I'd love it!

I just finished this quilt, it's not my largest one, but I think it's going to be one of my favourites.  I'd raided my stash of fabrics and came up with this:

This is it on a twin bed:

And this is showing off the back more on the couch in the den:

I'll probably make similar ones in other colours, I have a bunch of tropical fabrics and patterns left!
2458  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Puppy Quilt Made from Pet Bandanas on: August 22, 2006 01:54:53 PM
Well.. I'm just going to show off a quilt I made for my puppy with his bandanas he gets from going to the groomer.  I had a ton of extra fabric so I made the border from that.

Linked out because the files are large

Ok.. hope this is a good start it's my first post here ever!
