1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Basic Doll Body Pattern-Amigurumi on: April 28, 2010 10:27:08 AM
I am moving to a new city soon and I wanted to make my close friends amigurumi dolls in their likenesses, so I'm looking for a basic (FREE) amigurumi body pattern. I've searched all over the net/craftster, but it's been pretty fruitless. Can any of you crafty crafsters help a brother out? Preferably, I'm looking for something similar to allliecat30's PeeWee (here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=345676.0 ) TIA!
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / A really simple stencil to confess my love on: March 19, 2009 07:32:03 PM
for Say Anything!

The bridges are filled in now, and the sparse parts are touched up, I just couldn't wait to put it on, haha.
The heart isn't all weird and bumpy, by the way.

I saw a similar shirt online somewhere, and I made my ex a Claudio Sanchez one a long time ago.
I think I want one for every band I love!  Grin
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / proud of my new maxi dress!(5pics) on: March 10, 2008 05:41:39 PM
i saw some adorable maxi dresses in the new victoria's secret catolog & fell in love.
but at 80 or 90 dollars a pop our love would remain unrequited.
so i went to joann's, bought a simplicity (3882) pattern on sale for 1.99, 3 yds of fabric from walmart for 12 bucks and made my own in a couple hours. i'm so proud! it's my first piece of clothing from a pattern made (almost entirely) by myself...with my mom's supervision. so enough blabbing, on to the pictures!

i've yet to hem it. i had to alter the pattern and made it wayy too long.

you can really see the length here. i'm wearing 4 inch heels, too.

hope you like it!
4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Abominable SnowMonkey (amigurumi-esque?) on: July 31, 2007 10:32:42 PM
i made this for my boyfriends cousin. he requested a white monkey with a tan belly, which i thought was a little odd, but i delivered. i think he came out looking some what like the abominable snowman, but still monkey-ish and adorable. here he is!:

he is so tough he can pump 3 pounds of pure IRON. and i gave him a little hair. not sure if i'm keen on it yet.

AAAND to make him seem more monkey like, i gave him a pink butt. hah.

hope you enjoyed!
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / lumberjack tote! sweeet. on: December 10, 2006 03:26:18 PM
i'd planned on making this giant button down into a pencil skirt, but i think i like this better:

collar detail

& my sweet E.T. pin.

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / hearthat on: December 10, 2006 02:51:13 PM

i originally wanted it to have earflaps, because i LOVE earflap hats, but it just wasn't working out:

i used one of those free pattern things from carion simply soft.
it was my first time working with two colors.
it's a little snug, but i like it.
7  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / i made a bunny. on: October 10, 2006 04:04:25 PM
lurking around on craftster one day, i was directed to mpatrizio's( http://www.flickr.com/photos/mpatrizio/sets/373475/?page=3) and it inspired me to set out and make a cute bunny of my own. (without a pattern!) i'm so proud!

so, meet Winston Middle-Name-Curly:

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Sleepy Turtle Tote & Poptart tampon cozzzzzy on: June 09, 2006 08:25:07 PM
This is sleepy sally. she used to be a pillow case that belonged to my boyfriends brother.
i added a bow. & there's an inside pocket.

her boyfriend, stan, is on the back.

& here's the tampon cozy.
i saw something similar on fredflare.com, but i think mine is better.  Grin

9  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / simple tbs lyric top on: May 29, 2006 11:18:53 PM

this is a sort of two-layer stencil, right?
i dunno. it bled a little though.
i haven't decided if i'm going to fill in the bridges or not.

i like it.
do you?
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / kitty cat hat. how exciting. on: April 21, 2006 04:20:34 PM
so, april is standerdized test season in texas, and i wanted something simple to make after i finished my test.

better-ish view of the ears:

on/silly me:

the ears aren't as even as the pictures make it look,
but it's one of  my first real projects, besides a pillow for my boyfriend and a couple of scarves.
i got the pattern at crochetme.com i don't have the link now, but if you want it, i've got it.
