Smiley They're cute! I absolutely adore the first one. I love orange, and aliens are funny. I understand what you mean. I've been sewing since 5th grade and I didn't take my first sewing class 'till 10th grade. I was so aggravated when I suddenly found out all the rules I'd been ignoring for the past 4 years.
12  COOKING / Dessert / Re: southpark cookies on: July 28, 2008 06:36:37 PM
I used normal cake frosting. I haven't tried whipping my own frosting yet.
I didn't use cookie cutters...I just cut them out with a knife, then remolded them with my fingers when they got out of shape. You can't see the mistakes I made because of the frosting. I wish they sold cookie cutters like that.
13  COOKING / Dessert / cat eats fish cupcakes-my antidepressant on: July 28, 2008 06:31:51 PM
So, my best friend died in a car crash recently. She was going to be my roommate for my freshman year of college next year. Understandably, my mind has been pretty screwed up lately. One of my friends stayed with me the first week, while I helped plan the memorial service, but after she left I had some problems. At the moment I can't concentrate on anything useful, so I've been finding not at all useful things to do. It helps a little.

So here is my current antidepressant: cupcakes! I got a wonderful cupcake decorating book from a friend for my birthday, and my mom agreed to pay for the ingredients today if I made cupcakes for supper. She may have regretted that  Tongue The eyes are mini m+ms, the cheeks mentos, and the tongues and noses are swedish fish and starbursts. I got the design straight from the book, "Hello, Cupcake", but I'm still really happy about them. Oh, and when I finished I made some strange m+m flowers with the leftover frosting. And here are the pictures:

I'm sorry about the depressing backdrop, but that's pretty much been my reason for doing everything these days. Thanks for looking!

I love how you switch between violent characters and their weapons and candy. Smiley It's slightly discombobulating. Lovely job. If I had one of those candy bracelets I would totally wear it all the time.

I am seriously jealous. I'm slightly obsessed with colorful things Smiley

I love the doll look, and all the effort you put into the dress. It has a vintage feel Smiley

The frosting on mine have dried pretty hard. I still don't know how well they'd travel, though.
19  COOKING / Dessert / southpark cookies on: April 27, 2008 11:01:33 AM
A friend of mine's birthday is on wednesday, and I couldn't think of what to make him. I've been on this cookie baking high for a few weeks now, and he talks about southpark alot, so I decided to make him some southpark cookies. I've only ever seen one show, so I just printed a picture off the internet and make them from that.

They're just basic sugar cookies with some extra flour to make them stiffer. The frosting was all originally white, but I added a mixture of kool-aid and food coloring. I love food coloring Smiley
baked and unfrosted(I ate the star instead of frosting it)

comments and criticism greatly appreciated. This is the first thing I've done with frosting, and I plan on doing more in the future. I need all the help I can get.
20  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: what paint can paint over a t-shirt print? on: April 13, 2008 12:06:31 PM
I've painted over paint on fabric with fabric paint. It's always worked fine for me. If you're not sure, just try hand washing it or soaking it after the paint dries and see what happens.
