That is gorgeous!   The book is only 1 inch? How the heck were you able to do all the detailing on such a small scale?

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Unicorn Pencil Skirt and a Pretty Headache on: May 20, 2011 04:27:33 AM
So I think I have finally made my peace with skirt number two and have stopped referring to it as "The Headache" Cheesy

Is it made with stretch jersey?

Both skirts are fab but I love the second one! If you do come up with an easier to use pattern (I have all the headaches I need right now) please please post it!
I'll try to come up with a tutorial when I make a new one!

wow! i looooove the unicorns! the skirt shape is great! im still trying to figure out how to "pencil" my shape

For the first skirt I followed a tutorial here to get the "pencil skirt" shape : http://whatthecraft.com/tutorial-how-to-make-a-pencil-skirt/

Thanks for all the lovely compliments guys!

6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: How to Increase Etsy Store/Facebook fan page traffic? on: May 19, 2011 10:19:59 PM
One thing I see people do is, in their Etsy info they'll put a link to the facebook page for their business and say "LIKE the [business name] for updates and exclusive discounts!"
If your customers know that you occasionally do promos and discounts that are only promoted via your facebook page they'll be more likely to hit that LIKE button. I know it works on me! There are a few etsy and non etsy sellers that I follow on facebook just so I know when they get new merch and have sales.

My friend is a musician and I bought one of his t-shirts awhile ago. ( You can check out his music here: http://www.last.fm/music/Dizzy+the+punk+rapper ) I'm not sure if you can see, but at the top it says "Get Dizzy" in scrabble letters.

It was just an oversized mens t-shirt so of course I had to jazz it up a bit.

He's also in a rap group ( http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jupiter-Express/115565965169866 ), and I got invited to wear the shirt in their music video but I had to work. :/ Stupid job. Hopefully next time though.
