1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Toy Kitchen on: August 24, 2010 08:32:11 AM
I can't throw anything out! Even though I was going to put the box in the recycling I decided resuing it would be much more fun  Cheesy

The box originally had the trike that my inlaws bough for our son's second birthday last week and along with a sweet tin, pots, bottle lids and part of an old necklace Dexter's new play kitchen came to life.

As it's only cardboard and Dex is a little whirlwind I'm sure it won't last long but he seems to like it Smiley

The original box (although I turned it inside out so it would be easier to paint)

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / In the night garden inchies on: May 20, 2009 12:53:36 PM
I couldn't resist these Smiley I'm in a inchie making mode at the moment and everything catches my eye. The inchies themselves are made from bits and pieces in my craft room (card, scrapbook paper, letter stickers, paper flowers and embroidery thread) along with images from a toy catalogue.

I've mounted the inchies in a frame that I've painted white. The found the backing image on the bbc/in the night garden website and I tried to use similar colours on my inchie backing. I need to put it up in my little boy's room, it's a little present for him (he's 9 months today) but at the moment it's just sitting on top of the shelving unit in his room.

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Dexter Onesies (quite a few pics!) on: November 12, 2008 06:30:45 AM
I hope this is okay to post here, I wasn't really sure where to put it.

As my little man's called Dexter I couldn't resist recreating the bowling shirt Dexter wore in season 2. I  painted the back using acrylic paint and textile medium and recreated the stripes using ribbons I had in my craft stash. I used iron on transfer paper to add the name.

Action shots!

(he wasn't really up for posing as he's caught the cold hubby and I had last week, not a happy bunny at the moment)

2 other Dexter related onesies I've made for him Smiley

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Nursing reminder bracelet on: August 17, 2008 12:23:06 PM
Hi everyone

This is my first project I've had the guts to post, hopefully I'm posting in the correct place Smiley

My first baby is due in 6 days and I made this a little while ago after seeing the idea on the web, I couldn't get over how much the bracelets were on sale for.

Now all I have to do is wait for little one to arrive before I can wear it  Cheesy
