1  Smurfy Halloween in Halloween Costumes by psmommy on: November 08, 2011 06:05:43 PM

Here's the smurf costume I made my son for Halloween this year.  It's pretty cold here already, so I made it all in fleece. I modified McCall's M4964 for the pants and hat, and used New Look 6800 (OOP pattern) as is for the top. He had a lot of fun skipping around collecting candy.

2  Fairy Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by psmommy on: May 03, 2009 02:39:17 PM
I thought this fabric was so cute. I had to make a bag out of it. I used the Bathina Bag pattern from Burda style found here: http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/show/3825

Inside of bag - Recycled denim jeans

Thanks for looking.  Smiley

3  Butterfly Tunic in Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects by psmommy on: April 18, 2009 08:24:17 AM
I started this top a long time ago, but life, moving, and cats (don't ask) kinda got in the way. Now (about a year later) I've finally decided to dig it out of the closet and finish it. I am so happy to have it done just in time for the warm spring weather. Yay! Here's some pics.

Semi-action shot.

I used New Look 6677 View D.
Thanks for looking!

4  rescue pack in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by psmommy on: November 14, 2007 06:51:12 PM
My son was Diego this year for Halloween, but all the rescue packs that are sold in stores are cheaply made. So, I made one myself...

Front of bag

Inside of bag. Diego fabric.

And some (semi-)action shots:

Hee, Hee it's pretty bad, the only way I can get him to sit still is to turn on the TV!!

So, What do you think?

6  Re: Crafty Onesie/Lap Tee Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by psmommy on: September 18, 2007 05:11:59 PM
OK, I received from gkswife on Friday, and I know she's been waiting patiently to see these pix. (Sorry, things got a little hectic yesterday). So, without further ado....

Group shot!  Thanks so much for doing the long sleeves, it has been f-f-freezing here in Wisconsin!!  The papers in front are Blue's Clues coloring pages (my son is an addict!) Cheesy

LOL!  Baby just woke up from a nap, so, he's a little zombie like.  This shirt says "Citrus Free For a Happy, Healthy Me", which is so awesome because my son is citric acid intolerant.  The daycare still seems to keep forgetting and giving him oranges.  Even Dad screwed up last week when DS was at his house and gave him fruit punch!  This shirt will definitely come in handy!!

Elmo!  Gotta love it!

Cute little monster tee!

Pic of detail on the back.

And just for fun...

Extreme monster shirt action shot. (Yep, that is his pet net!  Undecided)
I tried to get a glow in the dark shot of this tee also, but the glow just wasn't bright enough for my digi.  Sad

Thanks again gkswife for everything! These tees are definitely awesome!!

7  Re: Big Project Stitchalong 2007 in Needlework: Stitchalongs by psmommy on: September 11, 2007 05:33:08 PM
Okay, Here it is my first progress shot - finally!

Pathetic! I know!

Working on swaps has seemed to cut into my stitching time.  After, I finish the two that I'm in, I will not be joining any more until January!! I went through the pattern and blocked off fifteen different squares (one for each week till Christmas).  I'll let you know how that's going next month!  Grin Roll Eyes

8  Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Swap Round 3 in The Swap Gallery by psmommy on: August 24, 2007 06:33:37 PM
Okay! I'm here to post my pics!  Sorry, I've been a bit preoccupied this week. My car got hit by a rock going 70mph down the highway! My windshield now has a nice long crack going up and down on it!!  ($250 repair!  Tongue)

Anyways, receiving my package really did cheer me up, so, here is what I got:

Everything together! There is one necklace to go with each box.  They match the characters.  Very cute!

Close up of the boxes.

Close up of the necklaces.  (Thanks scanner!  Wink)

Thank you gala_apples!!  I really hope your package gets there soon.  I was thinking it would be there this week yet.   Undecided

9  Pooh Baby Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by psmommy on: August 08, 2007 06:58:34 AM
My youngest nephew turned one this weekend, so, I made him this Winnie the Pooh quilt to celebrate.  It is my first quilt I ever made, and even though it's not perfect, I think it turned out quite cute.

Full pic of quilt.  It measures about 3' X 3'

Close up of Kanga square.

Close up of Owl square.

Close up of Christopher Robin square.  I think this square is my favorite.

All details on the appliques were hand embroidered.

Thanks for looking.

10  Re: ugly sew along! in Clothing Sewalongs by psmommy on: July 25, 2007 06:58:42 AM
OK, looked through the statsh and actually found several ugly things.  For some reason this kept jumping out at me:

Yes, they're pears.  Yes, It's orange.  I have no clue what I originally purchased this for, but I have two yards of it.  Any ideas??
I was thinking maybe a jacket lining or a skirt?  What do you all think??
