2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / a skirt for me, a skirt for my bunny on: April 18, 2005 11:44:39 PM
inspired by all you crafty girls i made a circle skirt and a pillow case top today. my bunny was very interested in the process, so i made her a matching skirt too! it was only on for about 30 seconds before she hopped out of it and decided to make it lunch instead. sorry about the poor quality, it's hard to take a picture of a skirt in the mirror when you don't have a bathroom mirror. i'm perched on the sink haha. anyways, lemme know what you think!

showing off our matching skirts, too funny haha.

see the snake pin.. i got tired of sewing. no hem either... but thats for tomorrow i guess.

1 second before she jumped out and made it into salad.

and the pillowcase top... someone just posted one yesterday, i loved the way it looked so much i had to do one too!

thanks for looking!
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / A Team bag from Sally Ann sheets on: March 18, 2005 05:26:51 PM
this is a bag i made using the jordy bag tute, for my friends 19th birthday. I'm really pleased with how it turned out, now all my friends want mr. T bags, i'm going to make them for $10, which is pretty good since i got all the materials for under $4. I love thrift store sheets, they have the best fabric, and you won't find anyone else wearing the exact same thing! anyways, on with the pics... excuse the quality, but i've only got a camera on my phone...

laying flat

hanging, it sags a little because i don't use interfacing but i love bags with sag... haha

detail on the pocket, labelled as a birthday card with fabric marker

so what do you think?

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / a little advice from someone who knows what they're doing... on: January 26, 2005 12:21:23 PM
i have some really nice corderoy that i want to make into a 6 or 7 panel skirt that falls 2" below the knee or so, and flares from the mid-thigh out. i am horribly new at all this, so this was my take on the pattern that i will need for the panels

all i'm wondering, is do i measure the length and then measure my hips, and the width that i want the skirt to be at the bottom, and use those to create the dimensions to create the panel? is it really that easy? or is there an important step that i have completly missed? any help on this would be really appreciated because i love this skirt, but i will not break down and buy a pattern, and i don't want to screw up and ruin my pretty corderoy!
5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / cheap booth options on: September 08, 2004 11:38:39 PM
i'm looking to sell jewellry at a craft fair/ farmers market in the spring, and i need a cheap, but decent looking way to set up a booth. i was thing of two rectangular tables in an L shape, and a tarp overhead, but i'm unsure about how to set up the tarp over the tables. my main problem is i don't have a big truck or anything to take the stuff there, it'll need to fit into a car somehow. has anyone ever tried a set up like this? any problems you can see, or suggestions to make it better?
