Hi everyone. I found this nifty resource online for anyone who knits, crochets, tats, embroiders, etc.... Check it out.

Where do you live? And how old are you? You look like you could be my long lost twin, no kidding (even tho I wasn't born a twin). Very spooky the resemblance. Anyway, if you'd be interested in making fabrics in small quantities for me let me know. You have a special talent.
333  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Old Japanese Typewriter Keys ?!?! on: May 27, 2004 04:01:46 AM
I have seen earings (not the dangly ones) made from american keys. Maybe you could do the same.

Your description is a riot. This house I biought 2 years ago was built and owned by this guy who had a body shop in the 60's and we found handfuls of matchbooks with the same kind of goofy photography. Only the pics were of barlely dressed women (with "idiot hair") in really stupid scenes. One of my faves is the woman in her undies and bra at the ski resort... OUTSIDE.

Buy a little tulle. There's so many lovely and putrid colors out there. Take the tule, cut it into a few long strips about 2 or 3 inches wide and sew that to the inside bottom of the shirt and out of the sleves for a ballerina punk thing. And it's not itchy.
337  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: alternatives to yarn??? on: May 21, 2004 08:01:44 PM
Dog hair. If you can spin it or find someone who can, I've heard a lot of great thngs about dog hair.

I've been saving the denim from my husbeast's jeans for YEARS and will cut it into very thin strips and tie them (?) and then knit it up. Might look kinda cool.

Find a few old wool sweaters at a garage sale or the local thrift, un ravel them and kit it into something YOU would like to wear.

Hi. I'm Mary. I own Butterfly Mary (clothing and accessories). It hasn't taken off yet. I am also co-owner of Fuller Station Arts, an online consignment company for those who live in the Albany/Schenectady/Saratoga area. We are looking for unique items to feature on our website. You, of course, earn most of the money but we do the work for you. If you are interested, post something here and leave me a way to get in touch with you.
