11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Jake from Adventure Time Long Scarf!! on: September 13, 2010 05:53:48 PM
I really hope this is in the right category, if not someone please tell me!  Smiley

I JUST finished this scarf as a friend for a friend's birthday!
I wanted to make one of those "long cat" scarves and got this idea because Jake from Adventure Time is all flexible and is always stretching his body. Hehe, I made this pattern on my own. I made the scarf about 64" long and I think 8" including the inseam. I did the rest on my own. It didn't take that long for me and I was really excited about it. I might make another one, or even one for Lady Rainicorn! Let me know what you think!

14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Blue Alpaca Armwarmers on: June 03, 2009 07:58:20 AM
Wow, I haven't posted on here in ages

Well, here are my own armwarmers. My own meaning it's my own pattern!

I used Bernat Alpaca Natural Blends: Indigo
I started this back in February but I never really got around to finish them until recently.

I used size...6 needles?

I guess here's a pattern for people who want to do something similar.

1 Skein of Bernat Alpaca Natural Blends[or anything you like actually]
1 set of DPNs
Waste yarn
Crochet hook
CO 40 sts onto 3 DPNs
Rows 1-4: [k2, p2] Repeat for the whole row.
Row 5: k round.
[from here on I kept knitting the rounds until I got the length I wanted. So basically knit until you think it's long enough. Mine went to the middle of my forearms.]
Here's where you set up for your thumb gusset. So make sure you're ready for the thumb hole.
Before you start knitting again, you're going to be knitting with your waste yarn.
So take the waste yarn and purl 7 stitches, now slip the 7 purled stitches back onto your left DPN.
Now you'll be knitting with your MC yarn again. But now you're still gonna purl those 7 stitches of waste yarn.
K the round.
Next 4 rows: K
Last 4 rows: [k2, p2] the whole round.

Thumb Gusset:
Carefully take out the waste yarn and put the loose stitches on your DPNs.
Rows 1&2: K
Rows 3&4: [k2, p2] the round.

Use your crochet hook to weave in the ends.

There you go!

I apoligize if that's a messy pattern. I just typed it up right now. So if you have any questions, leave a comment!!!

omfg kimmbaaahhhhh
shweet cute little wristlet.
(i believe it needs some ironing, though.

and i still love your dress. p:
especially because it PERFECTLY MATCHES that tube-y container thingy on your dresser. =]
give me your canada dry, kthx.

....leenieFACE ... you are NOT one bit scary? =]
I don't think if anyone looked AND tried, they could tell my itty bitty wristlet needed some ironing. Way to go.
and yes. my dress DOES match my container. Which I didn't really pay attention. I was like dress.mirror.camera. LETSGO.
and you can always have my canada dry.

I successfully attempted and finished a wristlet! It was pretty easy and didn't take much effort.

I made my graduation dress! This isn't the finished&ironed version but the only picture that I have at the moment. Hope you like them! Thanks for a lookin'
