1  Putz house in Winter Holidays by stellato_escuro on: December 18, 2019 10:30:27 PM
My last craftster post (if this works). A putz house I made my mom for Christmas. The church lifts out so she can but in lights and the stained glass will glow.

2  Re: Color in a Box Swap 2019 Holiday Edition in The Swap Gallery by stellato_escuro on: November 30, 2019 08:02:32 PM
KittyKill spoiled the heck out of me!! My color was blue and she found so many pretty shades.

The main thing is these beautiful towels that she stitched up. I love snowflakes, so these are hanging up right away. She also sent me a lovely assortment of origami papers.

So many extras!! Socks, notebooks, post its (I use a lot), a tiny ceramic bowl, bath bomb (we are both bath fans) and a really wonderful smelling soap. I also got two tubes of glitter and two tubes of watercolors in my favorite shades of blue. The tiny cards are covered with quotes and inspiration, and I plan on putting them all over my house.

Thank you so much KittyKill, this was such a delight to open. Especially after a fairly stressful day. Smiley

3  Re: Tea Swap - The Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by stellato_escuro on: September 28, 2019 07:49:34 PM
Well, I tried to post my pictures yesterday and my computer crashed.  Angry So here I am again. EriChanHime sent me the most amazing package of goodies.

My favorite color is blue, and I love Japanese prints and bones, so this tea cozy is perfect! And I have really been wanting a cozy for a long time, so I am absolutely in love! Also, check out the tag.  Wink

Six amazing teas, including a bunch of my favorites.

And two more green teas, including one she got in Japan. She also picked out a chocolate bar with chamomile (a favorite tea of mine) and some matcha mints (another favorite).

Thank you so much! I plan on brewing a mug of one of these tomorrow and will have to share how it tastes.  Smiley

4  Re: Secret Santa-in-July Wishlist Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by stellato_escuro on: July 31, 2018 08:01:11 AM
Again, package confusion for me. This time, it was just due to LOTS of traveling and someone besides me checking the mail. But I got two more BOMB Secret Santa packages in the last weeks.

First, I got a package packed full of little ephemera bits for my letter writing.

Check out that lovely wrapping!

So, so, so many cool stickers for my letters, planners and some I may even share with my kids.

But this was the icing on the cake...sticker flakes! I love where I live, but some of this stuff is hard to find unless you only shop online. So Secret Sticker Santa, whoever you are, thank you!! <3

I got my other package sometime over the weekend. When we got back from camping yesterday I opened it and about cried.

This is right off my pinterest wishlist, and it is just the inspiration I needed right now. I have been feeling 1000% stressed with everything going on, especially getting ready for ArtWalk and a show I have after that. But this is going right where I can see it every morning. Thank you Secret Embroidery Santa! <3

I got my package after a LOT of delays and confusion. It arrived while we were out of town on vacation for a week. Then it got mixed in with my mom's packages. We receive packages for a few families and friends because theft is so bad and I am home most of the day. To make it more confusing, my mom often just puts my name on her packages.

But once it got figured out, I opened it to find a lovely piece of jewelry. It's the perfect length for me to wear it as a necklace or a bracelet. I also got TEN rolls of washi tape. I think my partner spoiled me. So thank you santa, whoever you are. Smiley

6  Re: Mixed Media Valentine Swap Gallery: Part Deux (SENDOUTS EXTENDED TO MON. FEB. 6) in The Swap Gallery by stellato_escuro on: February 08, 2018 07:45:30 PM
Guys, what can I possibly say about my partner? Onyxnox made the most ridiculously perfect valentine ever. Check it:

A beautiful bee card filled with paper conversation hearts.

And a lovely, stamped, gilded piece of sculpture. This is going right in the best spot my studio has to offer!

Thank you so much Onyx, you have no idea how much this made my day! <3

7  Re: Mini 12 Days of Christmas 2017 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by stellato_escuro on: October 04, 2017 07:51:41 AM
I got my package from Yzzilnoaj and I am SO EXCITED!! She did such a lovely job of wrapping everything and threw in all sorts of yummy candy.

Even better, she included both my kids. They are both thrilled they were "remembered". My son doesn't look like it, but this was the only picture where they weren't both blurry from jumping up and down.  Cheesy

They are all now back in the boxes and safely stashed away for opening day. Thanks Yzzilnoaj. <3

This cute little snowman is my first package. The best part: its DRYER BALLS! Simple, yes but I have really been needing more so I am super happy right now. Cant wait for tomorrow.

I forgot to let my kids open their day one gift until day two. Whoops! Well, they each got a travel coloring book, decorated tin and colored pencils! Plus my daughters tin has a sharpener. They are really happy about these gifts.

Bottle brush trees, 13 of them! I have been wanting a whole mess of them for this bookcase, but I never get them for me. These are definitely going to be treasured decorations for a long time.

Ephemera! I always need more and there are a bunch of lovely pieces in here.

I told my partner how much we love hiking and camping, and she same through with some awesome travel games. Inside each altoids tin there are TWO games in matchboxes. They are so neat and my kids love them.

Christmas napkins and rings, already washed and ready to use. These are going to look so cute with my plates for Christmas breakfast.

I literally SQUEALED when I saw the inside of this box...pompom trim! Twelve colors, two yards each.

And it makes a fab scarf.  Cheesy

Indoor snowball fight for the kiddos! They have used it extensively already.

My darling husband got the most useful thing he has ever gotten from a swap. Two little tins for camping, one for starting a fire and another for spicing foods. Inside each are little straws filled with tinder, matches and spices. He is super happy about these.

A beautiful snowflake penny rug.

Travel toys for my kids...these are ingenious! The one for my daughter has lego board on the outside and a mix of blocks on the inside. My son got one with felt roads and eight mini cars.

I got a necklace right off my pinterest! It is an insanely long, super beautiful friendship bracelet necklace. I can't wait to wear it.

My partner really knows how to wrap up a swap! I have been dying for a wrap skirt like this and she delivered. It is so lovely and going to be so comfy to wear.

I got my package from Helena Puck on Monday, and it is AWESOME!! First, here is a shot of everything together:

I LOVE this pouch!! I can't wait to use it. Inside there were 2 hoop ornaments with my kids names, taken right off my pinterest. There is also a little gingerbread man ornament made from a soda can, a cross stitched snowflake ornament and holly earrings.

Here is a closeup on the smaller items. The snowflake has little glass beads all over it. And the earrings are just perfect. Thank you Helena, I love it all. Smiley

9  Re: Junk Journal Gallery in The Swap Gallery by stellato_escuro on: May 26, 2017 07:21:38 PM
LovelyMiss made me the most delightful and beautiful junk journal ever. It is so think and loaded with little spots to tuck things that I will share my most favorite pages.

First, here is the cover and the cluster of charms hanging off the top of the spine. She even included a band to keep my book tidy.

Inside the front cover there is a little bookplate. This will soon have my name in metallic marker. Smiley

An inspirational quote and beautiful paper covered in Asian text, which I always love.

The layers are so interesting! Doilies, ledger pages, bank papers, printed cardstock...I love it all!

This little tag is stitched. <3

There is even a little notebook in the back.

Thank you LovelyMiss, this journal could not be any better. Smiley

Also, thanks everyone for your kind words about my book. Wulf, you exactly nailed why I did the weaving. I put it together and it felt really loose. Plus, the yarn looked kind of sad and half-assed beforehand. Even though I have done my share of book binding and visual journals, I have never made a junk journal. Now I kind of want to keep making them!

Washi tapes, clips and a bag of my fave pens. Plus, the pins have ellies on them!!

Finally, beautiful tags, evelopes and stickers. I love it all so much. Thank you Sonja Boo.

And thanks again to both my partners...I think you two have me 100% hooked on fun planner supplies. I even set up a special box just for all the goodies I got. Smiley
