2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Finished today: lover's knot poncho on: June 24, 2005 05:05:08 PM
I used an old stash of Paton's Katrina my darling mom got me a while back at an AC Moore's clearance in Knoxville, TN (Go Vols!).  I hope to use it on the plane to cover me while nursing the baby.

(Check out my cool beads I got at the Goodwill today!)

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / lover's knot poncho/nursing cover-up on: June 03, 2005 04:44:40 PM
Okay, so I need a poncho to wear to cover us up when the baby is nursing. . .do you think if I made this: http://www.craftown.com/crochet/pat52.htm  but stopped when it was a rectangle instead of a square and sewed it together like this: http://www.hipvintagecrochet.com/JLO.pdf that would work?  Hope this makes sense. . . I don't seem to have much brain power since baby was born  Cheesy

PS:  thanks to Alexandra for her pattern and microgirl for the idea to use lover's knots!

7  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / 4 bears and a penguin walk into a bar. . . on: December 20, 2004 03:52:41 PM
Just kidding. . .haven't posted in a while 'cause I've been busy trying to get Christmas projects done.  I shipped the bears to my nephews today!  YAY!!!!!  Penguin ornament was for my son's fourth grade teacher (she coached volleyball and that was their team name).  Also finished 4 or 5 scarves and a toboggan so far but I didn't get pictures.  I'm trying now to finish two white bears with pink flowers at their necks for a friend's daughters.  Hope I can get them done before 5 o'clock tomorrow to ship!

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crochet "ugly" doll. . .please help! on: June 23, 2004 10:00:55 AM
inspired by the felt "monsters" and "ugly dolls":

but I'm a crocheter, not a seamstress. . .can we come up with a pattern for these out of crochet?  should be able to embroider the facial details.

thanks in advance!
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / crochet teddy on: June 16, 2004 06:30:52 AM
I just finished up this teddy bear. . .I had never made one before, but always wanted to.  Inspired by upcoming baby shower.  I used Caron's Simply Soft in Almond, and crocheted/embroidered all the facial features as well so no choking hazards.  Think I'll use a pastel for the actual baby shower gift.  I'm going to crochet a flower for it's neck and add a green organza ribbon. . . I just tied on a scarf of mine for the pics.

Pattern was from about.com.

Here's a link to some pictures. . .hope this works!
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / not your granny's crocheted pillows. . . on: May 24, 2004 02:02:42 PM
I just finished this one for MIL for Mother's day. . .I used to make them for the girls at work for birthdays. . . This one is a light springy green with dusty pink and white flowers.  I made alot of solid gray ones with pale pink, dark purple, or light blue flowers.  The ladies at work used them in their offices, for travel pillows, or just "for pretty".  I got the pattern at freepatterns.com and modified it.  Easy and fun.

PS--new to posting photos. . .hope this works!

well, here is the link. . .couldn't get it to work the other way:
