This is so cute! I definitely need to make one to get around the "no halter tops" rule in my school's dress code  Grin

Thanks, everyone! I'm blushing!

Ahhh it's beautiful! I love preppy plads and argyles and am about to start my first fair isle project, but I really want to find that Knit.1 so I can make this.

I love them too! I'm with ya on the fair isle; hopefully someday I'll have enough confidence to make Eunny's Argyle Vest...good luck with your project! I'll send good vibes your way  Smiley

That's fabulous! So much better than in the magazine...now I'm thinking of making one  Cheesy I am also no fan of the turtleneck...

Ahh, my arch-nemesis, the turtleneck...what's the saying? "Wearing a turtleneck is like being strangled by a really weak guy all day?"

Love it!  Color, mods, etc. ...  great!

(plus, i LOVE your quote:  tubes...  What was he thinking?)

Ha ha, Ted Stevens...definitely one of our more hilariously senile senators.

Again, thanks everybody! Now if you excuse me, I'm off to go walk around with an inflated ego for the rest of the day  Wink

So pretty and glamorous! The photography is beautiful too. Love it!

I have 4 skeins of Frog Tree Pima Silk in a pretty awesome coral color (my current fave) and am going to CO for Ms. Marigold tonight. After a few different gauge swatches, I've found that even though the gauge is off with size 5s, the fabric with any needle larger doesn't look very nice, so I'm going to cast on for a larger size and hope for the best. *crosses fingers* I'm a little worried about running out of yarn after reading about other people's experiences with this pattern (I knew 330 yds for a sweater was too good to be true!) because I bought this on vacation and probably won't be able to get the same dyelot if I need more. Hopefully 620 yds is enough...maybe I need to sacrifice some of my stash to the yarn gods in exchange for smooth sailing  Grin

I love this cardigan so much! Did you have trouble finding the suggested yarn? I've tried googling it and can't seem to find any retailers in the US.

My first post! Eeee I'm nervous!

Pattern: Plaid Turtleneck #13 from Knit.1 Fall 2005
Yarn: Lion Brand Wool-Ease, 4 skeins chocolate brown, less than one skein camel
Mods: Scaled down the color scheme to two colors, shortened the sleeves to 3/4 length (I always find myself rolling up long sleeves) and omitted the turtleneck, because I have a strange aversion to turtlenecks for reasons unknown *cough* makes me look like I have a DOUBLE CHIN *cough*

Sorry the picture is so big...and of such dubious quality...I'm not good with my camera's self-timer, and there was no way I was going to keep a wool sweater on for much longer than 10 seconds because I believe it was 576 degrees outside.  Wink  Here's a link to another photo--quantity over quality!

I go into a little more detail on my knitting blog </shameless self promotion>  Grin
