Oh, wow, so many cool things in this gallery! That Alien pin-up is just bad-a$$!

jeannette32 and I did another personal swap for ATCs and Inchies, and she sent me such neat stuff! (Again! Smiley)

A witch ATC, and a tree one:

And then my favorite (although I love them all), this pumpkin one:

Then four cute inchies (the skull!):

and a bunch of tiny, sparkly stickers:

Thanks so much Jeannette! Once again, I had fun swapping with you! Smiley

I love the fabrics in that one! Smiley

Okay, as promised, here are photos of the skully awesomeness that is my mug rug from d3v14n7:

It's full of patchworky and embroidery goodness:

Sorry, I'm really tired and I can NOT get a non-blurry closeup!

Also, the back- the coolest thing: skully batik!

D3v14n7 said she was worried about the binding and patchwork, but I think it's really wonderful, and I just love it! Thank you, Sarah! Smiley

My last one is supposed to be was delivered today. Yay! A small box full of random fun from scarlet_nights:

Ok, ready? I got: Vintage packages of snaps, hooks and eyes, safety pins, and pearl cotton, a scrap of pretty beaded fabric, a tiny delicate doily, embroidered patches: blue uh... circle-y design, Bullwinkle, Natasha and Boris  Grin, a resin bottlecap with a picture of a pug inside, leather lacing, an eraser, two vintage pins, a chenille bee, a bunch of cute halloween foam shapes, a bunch of aqua buttons (already have an idea for these), a bunch of hoop earrings, wire, beading filament, some seed beads, some silver rose beads, and stickers. I think that's everything! Shall we have a close-up of some of the small stuff?

I'll have to think of something fun to do with Boris and Natasha and Bullwinkle! Smiley Thanks, scarlet_nights! Smiley

I received an absolutely stuffed box from xxmyjelloxx yesterday!

It had bunches of fabric scraps:

and an assortment of other things( crayons (yay!), binding, some cool white fur that I already have a plan for, pattens, tracing paper, stickers, a necklace, thread, elastic, a frame, foam, stamps, a felt rose, embroidery floss, a stamp pad, tiny (tiny!) crochet hooks, yarn, felt sticky letters and a letter stamp set. Whew! I think that's everything!

Haha, "violent" is so...well....violent? Thanks, I love them!

Since I was the only one who did mature inchies, I tried to make them grown-up, but not too grown-up. Smiley Random note, it's kinda fun to doodle blood spatter.

Looking again, I think I posted deathchicken's inchies twice, but not pantsafari's. Doh!

Lemme fix that:

I especially love the N:

Also, here are all mine together now:

I received two more awesome sets:

from crimescene:

Love the M!

and from deathchicken:

How cool is that O?

I'm going to be camping this weekend, but I'll be looking forward to seeing more inchies on Monday!

Psshh, of course I love the amazing package squire_inaria made for me- I'd have to be crazy not to! She absolutely spoiled me too!

First, she made me this pretty chainmaille necklace basesd off of my wist:

Then these two lovely handcarved Goddess stamps:

A beautiful bracelet to represent the star Goddess:

The little bottle has her Goddess oil blend inside it.

This wonderful etched mirror, that I adore:

(Please ignore the fabulous view of my popcorn ceiling! lol) A couple of the gems came loose in transit, but that's an easy fix!

Then, the most wonderful item:

A Kali poppet! She is so beautiful, and I just love her. Please excuse my crappy pictures, it's late and I'm really tired. s_i made the little arms from polymer clay!

Everything all together, plus some green fabric bits for a gibbous dress I'm gathering for.

I was so spoiled- thank you so much squire_inaria! You were an awesome swap partner!
(also, you were right about amethyst and rose quartz, but it's moonstone, not citrine. It's just a very yellowy piece. Smiley)

I received from Mantisbh and mintdawn yesterday, and Smmarrt's and deathchicken's were waiting for me today. Without further ado:

I especially love the G- it's so sparkly!

I love the L!

I love the V- he looks uncannily like my brother as a child! (minus the outfit  Cheesy)

The O is so detailed!

Sadly, no bawdiness. But awesome inchies nonetheless! Thanks guys!

10  Creek-inspired storage box in CHALLENGE 66 ENTRIES by Dragonflower on: September 08, 2011 09:47:47 AM
I was working on a rock swap when this challenge was announced, and already had the idea to do this project. My favorite thing to do on a summer day is wander along and through a creek. My partner is from Florida, where apparently they don't have creeks like ours: covered with pebbles and shallow and wading-friendly, and not full of alligators.  Cheesy
I made her this box, inspired by splashing around in a cool stream on a hot day:

I had initially planned to paint the sides, but decided I preferred a light stain:

The circles on the top were meant to emulate the ripples you get when you drop a stone in water:

It has scrapbook paper of a rocky stream inside:

I was so pleased with the results! Absolutely worth every brain cell I killed with superglue fumes.  Cheesy
It was very hard to give away, but I think jeannettew32 loved it, so I'm happy to know it's being appreciated in its new home.
