Details of swap:
The idea is to pair up people from different countries to craft whatever one might need for a foreign exchange program: the newest slang, trends, fashions, music, foods, best places to go/things to do, etc. all put together into crafty goodness (like journals, guide books, tees, totes, jewelery, and souvenirs). It's a crafty way to learn all about a new culture!

Your package must include one large crafted item, one or two small crafted items, and two small purchased items. Free stuff rocks, so throw in as much free stuff as you want! If anyone wants to do more than this, you can always communicate with your partner so that no one feels bad about their swapped items.

I know a lot of craftster's here love reading as much as crafting. I was thinking of organizing a book, magazine and/or paperback swap.Lets trade our favorite books or magazines! Any takers?
Here are the links to past book swaps:

edited to add:
Its been decided that everypackage should be considered a large one.If the book, magazine or paperback alone is not considered a large item , a craft has to go with it. Here are the size guidelines:
Ok more "rules"
all swap packages must be considered "large"
if you get claimed and the book, magazine or paperback is a small one you must make a medium craft to go along with it (tote bag, bookmark set, ATC set...)
If the item that is picked is a medium size then you must make a small craft to go with it (book cover, ATC, bookmark...)
If the item that gets chosen is a large size( a big book, a craft book, a set of mafgazines, a set of books) then you do not have to craft anything unless you want to.
Magazines and paperback novels count as small items
Hardcover books or books taht have more than 600 pages count as medium item
Magazine sets (3 or more magazines) , book sets (2 or more paperbacks) count as large items
Big hardcover books count as a large item
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Naruto Swap, craft or ATC ?? on: December 05, 2006 04:28:39 PM
I love the anime and manga series Naruto. It would be fun to organize a swap craft or ATC (or both) with the Naruto theme.
Any takers?
8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Craft My Anime Theme! on: October 14, 2006 07:15:04 PM
Would anyone be interested in joining or organizing another anime swap?
I thin it could be like a swap where you can say what anime you like and the organizer tries to match according to the faves and they swap.
Think Naruto, InuYasha, totoro, Studio Ghibli, Final Fantasy (any number), any movie, game or manga!
We could make cosplay, clothes, bags, purses, plushies, dolls anything!
So anyone interested in joining or organizing?? Huh
