115  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My first duct tape purse! on: June 07, 2004 11:23:43 AM
This is the first duct tape purse i ever made! I used black duct tape for the whole thing from Ace Hardware and Plastic Packing Tape also from Ace Hardware. The pictures came from a Jewish Calendar. One side is supposed to be a picture of Israel (i think) and the other side is a celebration of the Jewish holiday Sukkot. I am very excited about this. Please give me feedback so i can improve my next one!

116  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knit hat that is attached to a scarf on: June 01, 2004 02:38:15 PM
Hey knitters! Quick question:

I once saw on a website a knit hat/scarf combination and I wanted to knit it. I'll try to describe it. If anyone has a pattern for this, please let me know.  Smiley

It was a regular looking hat that had ear coverings attached. Then, at the bottom of the hat, where the hat met the neck, there was a scarf sewn on or knitted in.

It was really cool because you don't have to worry about remembering a lot of things for bundling up- just that one thing had the scarf and the hat together.

I was afraid to make it because it looked difficult but maybe i'll try it. The colors came out really great too!

I live in Tempe and I would like to come to your Creativity club tonight. I would also like more information about the local stitch and bitch in Tempe. I have been looking for one lately and i couldnt find one that was weekly. I only found the one at changing hands which is once a month.

I am so happy I found out about this. Hopefully I will see you tonight with my knitting.
