1381  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / labor of love... on: August 02, 2006 06:18:05 PM
Here's a blanket I made for my neice.  It took me the entire nine months that her mother(my sister) was pregnant.  I was very happy to see it finished...

And, from another thread, the halter dress that I made for my daughter, with her in it.

I'm hoping to branch out past the traditional crochet blankets, hence why I am here!   Grin  I'm getting a ton of ideas, thanks to all for the inspirations!

Thank you all very much!  I have started the star blanket(listed in another post).  Maybe I'll post my progress.  I'll also try to post some of my other projects.   Cheesy

Breaking out the stash now so I can start one!   Grin

So cute!  I bet he worked up really quick too.   I could make these for my kids(I'm a mom and a preschool teacher; I have two of my own and about twelve that belong to others).  I'll have to check the pattern out...  Thanks for sharing!

Very impressive!  I have three or four crochet bags that I made myself, but none as nice as this!  All mine are more on the casual, mom-on-the-go side.  This is pretty and stylish.  Very cool!

Very cool purse!  I bet you could get a similar effect with washers(little metal rings).  And I imagine they are a whole lot cheaper than 3.99 for 15...  Wicked cool!

Hey all!

So here's a picture of a halter dress I made for my six month old daughter(as well of a few other projects of mine).  I sorta pulled it out of left field after searching for a pattern online and not finding anything.  Not bad if I do say so myself.  I'll "fly by the seat of my pants" more often...  I can try to recall what I did if anyone is interested, but I make no promises.  I stink at pattern writting.  Anyway, comments are always appreaciated(critique and praise alike, I'm learning here).

I'll try to get a picture of her in it tomorrow, she's sleeping now...

These are some "stash busters" that I'll donate to a local charity.  Mostly for preemies.

And after reading a bunch of posts, I'll be buying The Happy Hooker...  Yes, yes, yes, I can hardly wait! Grin
