haha, if you find any cool shops, be sure and let ME know. i live in melbourne and its very dull. anything cool that comes, shuts down due to lack of interest or stupid people.
107  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: What to do with weird type walls? on: June 11, 2004 05:10:55 PM
if its cracking, you would need to get off the old paint before applying new.

i think it might look cool if you painted it all one color, then after it dries go over the part that sticks out more with a paint roller thing in a contrasting color.

hope that helps, the way im imagining it, it could look very cool or turn out badly haha. good luck!
108  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: HELP!!! Composition Book Ideas??? on: May 26, 2004 03:42:24 PM
when i changed my notebook like yours, i just used clear plastic packing tape over pictures, the only problem was airbubbles and such. i think it looks dandy though. you could probably use acrylic paint or some kind of pretty ribbon to spruce it up as well. there are some posts on here as to different kinds of notebook covers, but the thread that holds the pages together will come loose if you take that binding off.. (you know what i mean?)

i would stick with rolled scotch tape or a glue stick for inside pictures, if the paper gets too wet it gets ruffly and then it wouldnt close right anymore.

hope that helped
