1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Doll shoe soles on: September 05, 2009 01:08:54 PM
Does anyone know where you can order/buy doll shoe soles? I have a doll who I have been having a hard time finding shoes for and I thought that maybe I could make him some. I may just have to mould my own, but I really shouldn't be able to justify taking on another craft just to make a pair of shoes. (Hmmm, although I could justify it if I made multiple pairs, no???)
Thanks for the help.

2  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 14 ENTRIES / coin bra airfreshener on: August 05, 2006 07:40:42 PM
What bellydancer doesn't want their very own coin bra? Well, when you aren't a performing dancer it is hard to justify spending your disposable income on buying or even making one. So I decided to make a mini version and enter it in the challenge. I used pics of my dance instructor in costume (thanks Jill) to get a basic design layout. I needle felted the bra from teal wool and then hand-sewed seed beads on as "coins". It still looked a little empty so I added some other jewelry findings. I finished it with the chain that is also sewn on. It took me five hours and is JUST under the two inch mark.
After consideration, I thought I didn't want something else tiny I made just hanging out that didn't serve a purpose, so I spritzed it with a mix of peppermint and lavender essential oil and hung it in my car as an air freshener. Better than those plastic cherries I got off the clearance shelf at Target that lasted all of two weeks! Hope you dig it!
