1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Jay walker question on: October 28, 2006 03:40:42 AM
I got some lovely handpainted sock yarn for my birthday and I wanted to make a pair of jay walker socks with it.  I cast on last night but I am just struggling too much to get the first round done with 5 needles. Is there any reason why I can't knit this pattern on 4 needles instead?

I've read through the pattern and didn't notice any reason why not, but I would hate to get half way through my first sock and find I needed to do it on 5 needles.
