Check this pattern out...

I made one out of this pattern with one addition. I placed a wrist strap. I am able to carry my cell phone, keys, small wallet, compact, lipstick/gloss and lip pencil. It comes in two sizes, I made the large.

I used velcro as the closure just because I needed it in a hurry and I had no magnetic snaps at the moment. I recommend that you use a magnetic snap. Velcro does not work that well.

13  Lots of bags... Lots of pics... in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Rubywoo on: October 12, 2006 01:40:53 PM
Here are the bags that I have made so far since september. They may not be the best of bags, but I really enjoy making them. Sewing help me relax, even when I can't figure something out. I am proud of my bags.  Grin

This one is my first Jordy bag. It is a bit flimsy even though I used craft fuse interfacing.

My first clutch. It was intended to be red with srripes on the outside and black on the inside, but the craftfuse made it look horrible since it bubbled up, so I just decided to use it as a black bag with the striped lining. I later added the leather flower pin as a quicky decoration.

This is a bag I made as a gift (my cousin's 16th b-day.) I made my very first applique on this bag. I had a terrible time with the satin stitch around the letter but all in all, I like it.

This clutch is made from a free Amy Butler pattern I found online thanks to a post here on craftster. It was very simple to make, I really enjoyed making this one.

This is a sha sha dream bag I made with a modification in the size and closure. Though you can't tell in the photo, it has a ribbon tie closure and I made it almost twice as large as in the tutorial.

This is my second Jordy bag. It's pink in front and green in back, (the fabric came in two colors so I bought both.) IT IS HUGE! It's 20 in x 25 in. x 6 in. I made it to take on a trip to the water park since I had no bag big enough to fit all I needed to take with me. I made it in one night, no breaks. The inside is black canvas/duck and I used buckram for the interfacing.

14  *Just finished!* Brown Corduroy hobo-ish bag. Big Bag :-) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Rubywoo on: October 12, 2006 11:50:43 AM
Hello everyone... This is my very first completed project post on craftster. I have made many bags before this one but I have not had the time to post them. This is my latest creation... I finished just a few minues ago.  Anyway... constructive criticism welcome. Would love to know what you all think of it and any tips on improving it that you may have. I apologize beforehand for the poor image quality. I know not how to use the camera properly. It's my husband's camera.

This is a front view of the bag.

This is a full view of the bag.

Lining view. It has a zipper pocket, but it does not show in the pic. I had a great deal of trouble with the zipper. I am new to zippers :-)

Here is a detailed view of the ribbon trim I added. As you can see, my son is pointing at the beautiful embroidery on the ribbon.
